CHAPTER 130: A Gut Feeling

As much as Lawton could remember, his father was a strict man who barely had time for jokes.

He loved him as a son but also wanted him to be prepared enough to take over his company.

He always chastised him over any little misconduct.

His father also didn't like to talk a lot but the man in front of him had been talking nonstop.

Lawton is confused as he does not know if he's overthinking things or if he is right about everything.

Lawton's phone suddenly rang and it was Smithson.

Lawton considers telling Smithson about having tea with his father but decides not to.

"Excuse me," he said, as he stood up to pick up Smithson's call.

"Where are you, young master?" Smithson asked as Lawton answered.

"I'm in my way," Lawton said.

"I would be there in twenty minutes," he added.

"Ok young master," Smithson said, as he hung up the phone.

Smithson looked at his phone and knew Lawton was not being honest with him as the distance between Amanda's office and the restaurant was just five minutes.
