Chapter 7

After Vivian had seen Alex at the shopping mall where she went to shop with her friends she had not been herself. She can not really comprehend how things suddenly change for Alex. She has asked herself all kinds of questions day in and day out. 

“ is this really true”

“ Could he really be the one” 

“ was he rich all this while and just presented?”

“ How did it happen all of a sudden “ 

Vivian was lost in thought is her husband called her attention. 

“ Babe, what are you thinking of?  Why are you lost in thought” Flex asked Vivian.

“ Nothing much just the thought of Alex just crosses my mind” she replied to her husband.

“ He is now the CEO of The Royals,  I still can't believe it. I met with him yesterday at the annual CEO  meeting and I was surprised. 

“ I told you,” Vivian said eagerly. 

“ Anyways babe, you need to cut down the way you spend, you know we are expecting a baby soon and I am having issues at my workplace,” Chris said moving closer to his wife. 

“ Stop this, I am not in for this talk again, ” Vivian replied to her husband angrily. 

“Allow me to buy things I want please” She added. 

“It's fine. I am leaving now for work. Have a nice day, take good care of yourself and my baby.” he said to Vivian. 

He gave Vivian a kiss on her cheek and on her stomach before heading out for work. 

After Vivian divorced Alex to marry Felix, she still continued with her lavish spending. She makes sure she buys the latest trending outfits and designer bags too. Flex has been trying all means to make her cut down her lavish spending but to no avail. Even now that they are expecting a baby and the job has been having little challenges. Vivian is used to a luxurious lifestyle and must always wear what is trending. 

Today is the first day Alex will officially address his employers and begin work in the office. He had been attending the necessary meetings and meeting with some of his top business clients. 

He resumed the office today. His driver drove him to the office with his Victoria his PA. He entered the office and everyone was bowing to welcome him.  A brief meeting was immediately organized to officially welcome him to the office. 

He addressed them and made sure are hands were on the desk to see the growth and expansion of the company. 

Alex was shown his office and it was a beautiful one to behold. The office was big and spacious. It was a beautiful one to behold. He was then given a document to show him the new set of persons his company has awarded a contract to.

The set of persons will have a meeting with the CEO to sign the contract. Alex is the present CEO and would be the one to present them with the contract agreement for signing. 

To his greatest surprise, the first name he saw was Chris Smith. Alex chuckled as he said the name. This is definitely someone I know and I will make sure he doesn't get the contract. 

Mr. Chris Smith had caused me so much pain in the past and I will made life miserable for him . 

Alex immediately picked up the phone and called for his secretary. A beautiful young lady walked in with her flawless skin. 

“ You called for me sir,” the secretary said. 

 “ I have gone through the contract document you brought and I am omitting someone from getting the contract,” Alex  said to his secretary. 

“ Who is that sir”  she asked out of curiosity. 

“ Mr Chris Smith” he replied. 

“ Okay sir that is not a problem, I will send him an email telling him not to bother coming to sign the contract again as it has been canceled,”  The secretary said. 

“ No, allow him to come, he will get to know the contract agreement has been canceled when he's here,” Alex told her. 

“ I am sure he is already  on his way here” Alex said as he chuckled. 

“ Okay sir” she replied without asking further questions. 

“ The meeting with be in 30 minutes sir,” The secretary told him. 

“ Okay I will be there in 30 minutes' time,”  he said. 

Alex now has the power in his hand to get the revenge he desires and he will definitely get it. 

It was time for the meeting and all 4 persons to sign the contract were present including Mr. Chris Smith, Alex's ex-father. They were already seated waiting as he walked in. 

Chris Smith sees Alex as he walks into the meeting room and was surprised.  He couldn't not believe his eyes. He has got a lot of questions to ask.  

“ This is Alex” 

“ How is he the CEO of The Royals 

“ This company is  owned and managed by Morris Brenda “ 

“ could Alex be the son of Mr. Morris?” 

“ it is true  Mr. Morris's son died years again, I know about that” 

Chris asked all the questions within him and could not believe his eyes. 

Alex walked majestically to the seat in front as he sat he said. 

“ Good morning everyone “ 

“ I am Alex Benard, the new CEO of The Royals and the heir to the Brendan Family. 

“ will be running this company and controlling other businesses owned and managed by the Brendan from now” 

Alex then told them how the 4 of them were sent an email about signing a contract with The Royal Company  . But unfortunately, only 3 would get the contract. He told them that Mr. Chris Smith would no longer be getting a contract from their company due to some reasons he wouldn't like to disclose. 

The three other persons were given the contract agreement and signed. Mr Chris was shocked and felt ashamed. He didn’t believe things could change for Alex suddenly and being in a place of authority. 

He angrily went out to make a call. 

“ Hello sir,” Chris said 

“ Hello Chris” Mr Morris 

“ I wasn't aware you resigned sir? , I was awarded a contract a few days ago only to come to the office to sign the contract and was surprised the wasn't longer given the contract” Chris said. 

“ Alex is the new CEO of the Royal. He now facilitates the affairs of the company. Anything he says is final. I no longer run the company my grandson Alex runs the company and businesses now” Mr Morris told him. 

“ Do have a nice time, Chris” Mr Morris said ending the call. 

Chris could not believe what he just heard. He needed that contract to help his business. His business has not really been good the past few days and things we're not just right. He hurriedly went back to the meeting room to beg Alex. 

“ Please Alex, I really need this contract, my business is experiencing a lot of difficulties and I need finance,” he said pleading with Alex. 

“ You will have to come back to submit a proposal and pick another day to defend it, you will have to properly convince this company that this contract should be awarded to you” Alex replied him. 

“ I already did that before now,” Chris said immediately. 

“ I wasn't the CEO then, now that I am the CEO, you would have to defend the proposal to me. I will have to be properly convinced that it is worth it” Alex said as he was preparing to leave. 

“ Alex, please I really need that contract” he pleased. 

“ I am done with you. Meet with my secretary to book an appointment with me .” Alex told him before going out. 

Everything was happening like a film to Mr. Chris. He was in shock and could not contain all these. 

He was about to leave when he got a text message on his phone 

“The Royal Company just pulled out her shares from the company”

“ what?” he scream
