"Hey, don't play me. Why are you pretending like you don't know what I'm talking about?" Eleanor spoke with a scoff that ended with a sigh.

"As I told you earlier, if you give me the key, I promise to pull you out of this shithole you're in. And now you're pretending that you ain't with the key. That means death is calling upon you," Eleanor added.

"Hey, you bastard! You old lady, don't toy with me. I think the key was with you. What the hell are you even saying?"

Brooks, all this while, thought the key was with Eleanor and had even written in the note he gave to Victor, instructing him that Eleanor possessed very valuable information that he had to acquire from her no matter what. That's why, in the first place, when Victor gave in to the masked man's threat, he felt like he had disappointed his father in a way that death could be the only way out.

"I'm not in possession of the key anymore. I thought you took it from me the other time you invaded my house," Eleanor said.

The masked man and Eleanor were now seated, facing each other. Looking straight into her eyes, he stretched his hands and lent her his phone."I want you to call this specific number when you get out of here. There's something important the person needs to show you," the masked man said, hands still stretched toward Eleanor.Eleanor collected the phone, looking straight at the screen where the number was displayed."Who exactly is this person?" Eleanor asked curiously, trying to confirm who she was going to be meeting. But the masked man insisted on not exposing anything. Instead, he instructed her to do as he said without any more questioning."Just do as I say. When you get there, you will surely know who you are up against. Though, I would like to give you a hint—the person should be one of your colleagues. You have both worked together for Voss."The masked man gave Eleanor a hint, but she still couldn’t grasp who exactly he was talking about. Eleanor was puzzled and dazed. Asking

"We move when you are ready," he said, his face serious.Shinda turned and looked at the masked man. "Young master, you have helped me in so many ways, and this is another way of paying you back for your good deeds."The masked man nodded, his eyes filled with pride as Shinda spoke those words. After this, Shinda and Eleanor walked out of the room where the masked man and Eleanor had conversed.Seeing them walk out, the masked man gasped. The warmth of his breath filled his mask."Do you think Shinda can get this job done?" Hazel, who was close by listening, spoke out, her voice filled with doubt."Yes, he's the perfect and most trusted person who can get this job done for me. He trusts me based on what I have done for him. He believes that he owes me his life, so he should put that to work," the masked man responded with a slight shift in his gaze to Hazel, then en

Eleanor was so accurate in her explanation. She had created a security system that held the key in a way that only her retina could unlock the lock.Shinda helped her out and put everything in place. Looking, finally, Eleanor spotted something—a round object that she had been using, an object that would give her access to the door where her retina would be scanned.“Yes! Got it!” Eleanor exclaimed in excitement, holding the object in her hands.Shinda turned to look at her. “You found what you are looking for?” he asked.“Yes, I have, but not yet the key. This specific item will only grant me access to the door where the key is being kept by me. Without this, even my retina can't be scanned because I will be purely restricted,” Eleanor explained, gripping the round object softly in her hands.“Ooh, okay, that’s nice. Then when are you going to make the call? I think my master gave you a specific number to call. You’re not making any attempt to make the call,” Shinda asked, getting cur

Seeing a specific thing—an object that emitted a kind of gravitational light from under—she snapped."It's gone! Damnit, it's gone!" Eleanor panicked, her hands raising as she bolted to the spot where the object was. She slid her hands repeatedly on the light, trying to confirm if her eyes were playing tricks on her, but to her surprise, it was really gone."I... I... can't believe this!" Eleanor's eyes widened as she fell to the ground."What's wrong?" Shinda bolted toward Eleanor and held her by the back."I can't believe the key object is gone! But... who could be here and take it? I had made sure that I input a very high technological lock on this place, and still, this place was invaded!""Don't worry, we will find whosoever took it," Shinda spoke out with a gasp, trying to cool Eleanor down. "What's the key used for anyway? I'm somewhat confused." Shinda

Eleanor asked curiously, seeing how Shinda was staring at her. His eyes already said it all—that he needed sleep really badly."Ooh," Shinda let out a sharp laugh ending with a grin, running his hands through his head as he replied, "I have to be vigilant. I don't want to take any chances of anybody invading here.""Well, we have been here for up to a day now, and no one has shown up. That means we are safe. Just take a nap, I will be fine," Eleanor responded with an assuring smile."Don't worry about me. Just do what you want to do, but please stay close to me. The dragonflies flew out of the bag and were now in the air, their wings flipping, and it was magnificent. Their eyes contained camera lenses, which Jasper could see through. They were being controlled through a kind of technology known as nanotech. This kind of technology allows someone to control a mechanically constructed machine that was embedded with nanotech using neuro-teleportation.The nanotech was first invented by Voss Nathan's father but had been kept hidden. Somehow, Jasper found out about it and had planned to use it for his bad biddings.A kind of magnetic device, so small that it could fit into the ears, was on both Jasper’s ears. This allowed him to hear the sounds the dragonflies were hearing, and apart from that, the magnetic devices were also being used to connect to his brain neurons, allowing him to pass direct instructions to the dragonflies without even speaking.Setting his gaze on the dragonflies, they automatically went invisible. Looking at this, Jasper smi

Eleanor asked, her eyes darting around the room with a blurry sight. Looking down at her hands, she saw them tied."You are in my private facility," Jasper's voice cut in. Eleanor shifted her gaze upwards, and she saw the man who had spoken seated in front of her, five meters away, staring at her with an evil-like gaze.

Staring at what Eleanor was saying, Jasper remained silent until she finished. Then, he cut in with his voice."For your information, I am already in possession of Voss' son, Nathan, and he has already trusted me with every single inch of trust you can find, so don't be deceived. I have made him believe that he was safe with me.""What? Are you serious?" Eleanor asked, surprised and doubtful. She was unsure if Jasper was telling the truth or lying."Yes, of course, I'm serious, you nuthead! In fact, I have already started developing a plan to disintegrate him so I can acquire the valuable part before time. That way, it won't be stressful when it's the right time to transfer it into the artificial man you created."The Wing X experiment, which Eleanor had been working on, was an artificial being. Once finished, this being could possess tremendous super skills that couldn't be stopped by anybody. In fact, it was created from the same component that was used on Nathan, making the Voss sy
