Chapter 0004

Jairo looked up at Noah. Surely, he knew the meaning of his master's eye movements. Jairo sighed before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold-plated paper.

"This is my mistake. Forgive me for forgetting to give you this invitation, sir." Jairo handed the invitation to Noah.

Noah accepted it. He grasped the invitation, which made Dario feel very surprised. He shook his head in a whisper. "This is impossible. I think this is a mistake. Is he a guest here?"

Jairo was still staring at his master. He had a very deep feeling of guilt when looking at his master. "Master, you may enter with me at this time." Jairo invited.

Jairo's gaze also fell on the guards, blocking Noah's way in. Only a cold stare made the two guards immediately move to make way.

Noah held Jairo back by raising his hand. "Wait, don't rush because it's a man who has to run with his shirt off around this building," Noah spoke with a glance at Dario.

Dario swallowed his saliva. He looked at Noah in surprise. He had previously hoped Noah would forget about this incident and leave immediately with the waitress. But Noah was currently staring at him.

Dario's sweat dripped down his forehead. He had never thought that Noah would recognise the butler who was there.

Dario tried to ignore Noah. He moved to stare at Jario. He smiled a little and walked up to him. "Mr. Jario, I am pleased to meet you. I've heard your name many times, and finally, I'm meeting you. I am Dario Bernon, son of Brian Bernon. Perhaps you have heard of that great family name." Dario introduced himself.

Jario looked at him indifferently. He was looking more at his master. He knew that his master was talking about Dario right now. "Master Noah, I can't wait to see that man in action. I think it will be good entertainment here."

"What stunt, Mr. Jairo? You shouldn't listen to that man. None of that is serious. Forget about it, Mr. Jairo. And yes, can I discuss some things with you, Mr. Jairo?" Dario came closer and wanted to touch Jairo's shoulder, which, of course, made Jairo dislike Dario very much.

Jairo ignored everything Dario said, and he immediately pushed Dario away when the man touched him.

Ruby looked at Dario's agitation. She had come with Dario and didn't want to embarrass Dario. Ruby looked at Jairo sullenly and said, "Why push him? What he said was just a joke. It wasn't anything serious. So forget it." Ruby gave a defence.

Ruby looked at Noah unhappily. Noah shouldn't have made an issue of it. After all, Dario had tried to help him before. "Noah, you shouldn't have done that to my friend."

Noah looked at Ruby. He heard the words with a feeling of disappointment because Ruby was giving defence and protection to another man. Ruby had never given any defence to Noah before.

Noah looked at Jairo indifferently. Hearing Ruby's words made Noah not want to pursue this matter anymore. He looked at Jairo and spoke, "Forget about it and leave it alone. Besides, the Galashiel family wouldn't allow people running around their building with their clothes off."

Jairo seemed to hesitate at the words of his master. He could see the disappointment and anger on his master's face until Jario looked sternly at the face of the man before him. "You shouldn't have made trouble here. And whoever makes trouble, I won't let them go easily." Jairo gave a stern warning.

Dario tried to smile at Jairo. He nodded his head. "Mr. Jairo, you shouldn't have listened to that man's words. What my friend said is true. If it's just a joke, that man is trying to make things worse. Mr. Jairo, trust me."

Dario looked at the butler more seriously. He pressed his chest and behaved very politely.

"I certainly know that no one would dare make a mistake here. And I will behave myself next time. I apologise for having to trouble you here." Dario tried to give his explanation.

Jairo ignored Dario's words. He looked at Noah and prepared him very politely. "Mr. Noah, we can go in and not listen to what that man says."

Noah agreed, so he nodded. He knew that Dario would only talk big without being able to prove his words. Until they left and entered the building...

Dario and Ruby were still standing there. They stared at the backs of the two men who had passed. And then, Dario's facial expression changed until his gaze looked very sharp. "They're just dogs guarding the Galashiel family." He clenched his hands into fists.

"I guess Noah will just find a job through that butler. He's a disgraceful sycophant." Dario spoke harshly again.

Ruby nodded. "I guess you're right. Forget that. We'd better go in right now." Ruby invited him, and Dario agreed.

Meanwhile, in the room, Jairo looked at his master respectfully. He felt uncomfortable at the moment for having made a mistake. "Young master, I apologise for the oversight. I should not have kept you waiting and stuck outside."

"Forget that. Leave me alone because I want to be alone." Noah spoke firmly.

The man before him nodded. "Very well, young master." He lowered his gaze slightly and left his master's presence.

After Jairo's departure, Noah looked around. His gaze fell on a chair in the corner of the room. It was deserted, and he immediately walked over to it.

Noah grabbed a drink and sat down to sip it quietly. But at the same time, he saw Ruby walking towards him.

Noah furrowed his brow. He didn't know why Ruby was approaching him. Noah lowered his glass, and he looked at Ruby with a cold glance.

Ruby stopped her steps. She didn't know what Noah was doing sitting around enjoying a drink in this place. She had been watching the waiters who were busy serving the few guests who had arrived, but how could Noah be relaxing?

Ruby frowned. "What are you doing? Why aren't you working?"

Noah felt confused by Ruby's statement. "Working?" He repeated Ruby's words with his brow furrowed again.

Ruby exhaled her breath at Noah's attitude. She wondered if Noah would ever change. "You're just like this who'll never do anything. You should have taken advantage of this and done a good job."

Noah sneered at her. The look in his eyes was still cold. He knew that Ruby had never trusted him even once and was tired of explaining things to him. So he just shut up and stared at Ruby quietly.

Ruby shook her head. Noah should get up and do his job. "You should learn how a man works," Ruby said firmly.

Noah grinned at Ruby. Now, he knew something. "So that's why you're divorcing me?" He smiled wryly.

Ruby swallowed hard. She was shocked by Noah's statement. "What are you talking about?"
