After hearing the master's explanation, the voice on the other end of the line returned. "Very well, sir. I will do as you say. I will terminate the employment immediately."
"Do it immediately." The order was heard from Noah.
A slight nod was not visible behind the phone. His assistant manager was still listening to Noah's words. "Sir, I will negotiate the contract with them again. I'll do everything right."
Noah didn't give any reply. He was happy enough with the answer given by his assistant manager that he immediately turned off the call.
Meanwhile, Ruby tried to forget what happened between her and Noah. She got rid of her disgust by walking away from Noah and approaching some other businessmen there.
Ruby stared at several people wearing black suits. "They look different from the lame Noah."
Ruby exhaled. She walked with a confident stride and headed towards one of the men who was enjoying a drink while in his right hand, he seemed to be busy playing with his cell phone.
Ruby stopped her steps at the thought that he was busy. But just as Ruby was about to turn around, the man stopped her. "Miss Ruby?"
Ruby turned her head and looked at him with a smile. There was a small hollow in her cheeks as she widened her smile. And Ruby saw the man walking towards her.
"Do you need anything? I thought you were going to see me earlier." Gerry entered his cell phone as he stopped in front of Ruby.
"Yes, I wanted to see you, but I thought you were busy, and I decided against it. I just wanted to talk because I'm bored being here with no friends." Ruby offered an explanation.
She couldn't tell Gerry she had just gotten into trouble with Noah.
Noah? Looks like Ruby should really forget about that loser.
A man wearing a neat suit with his hair slicked back stood. Ruby moved her eyes to study him, realizing he looked very charismatic. He was also a true gentleman who would not hesitate to approach a lady and engage her in conversation.
"Feeling bored? How can you say you're bored here. So, you came alone?" Gerry raised one eyebrow, waiting for an answer.
He shook his head. "Ah no, I came together with Dario. But I guess he was approaching some of his other coworkers. And that's why I was wandering around and accidentally saw you, Mr. Gerry." Ruby was terrible at explanations.
Gerry looked at her. He certainly recognized the beautiful woman in front of him. He even knew about her good-looking career.
"I know that your company is cooperating with a major Fortune Enterprise. It's a very large company and everyone wants to get a contract there. But you were able to get it so easily. That's pretty amazing." Gery mentioned it and complimented Ruby.
Ruby smiled with confidence. The excitement she felt had forgotten what had happened between her and Noah. Her eyes seemed to shine brightly because of her excitement over the praise she received.
"Do you know, I have applied for a contract several times at Fortune Enterprise, but I always get rejected. That's so sad." Gerry spoke again with an exhale of annoyance.
Ruby smiled widely. She felt very proud of herself. "Sir, don't praise me too much."
Ruby's life had changed from three years ago. A few years ago, she was just a poor student who lived a miserable life until she married an ordinary man like Noah. But with her hard work, she established a company that eventually proliferated.
Gerry shook his head. He didn't quite agree with Ruby's words. "That's not a compliment. But I'm telling it like it is. You are indeed extraordinary Miss Ruby."
Gerry's words emphasized that Ruby had changed her fate from a poor woman to a successful person in the city. Of course, she was very proud of herself and her outstanding efforts.
Gerry held out his hand. Ruby stared at the hand and understood what Gery would do, so she returned the gesture, and they shook hands. "Congratulations again, Miss Ruby."
The few people who were there heard that. They had also been following the news about Ruby, who had a fast-growing company and was working with a big company.
"Miss Ruby, congratulations."
"Miss Ruby, I also congratulate you."
"Miss Ruby, you are so great that you can convince that big company to work with you."
One by one, people congratulated her. Her face grew red from being so honored. But Ruby disagreed with the last man who congratulated her. She had not applied to the big company for a partnership. But it was Fortune Enterprise that had made the offer to her.
No one knew that it was from Noah. Ruby thought that her success was due to her own hard work.
Dario came in when he saw Ruby surrounded by several people. "Ruby, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine." Ruby replied calmly.
Another man came over. He was wearing a neat suit. His tall body made Ruby have to look up slightly to see him.
"Miss Ruby, nice to see you here." The man named Juan Philip extended his hand. He had a friendly smile, and his eyes didn't miss Ruby at all.
Everyone knew him, and so did Ruby. He was a successful businessman and came from a famous family. From the first time he saw Ruby, he seemed attracted to her beauty.
Ruby looked at him happily. She thought that her meeting with Juan would make a good career development.
"Mr. Juan, I'm also happy to see you here." Ruby replied with the same friendliness.
"Everyone has congratulated you. And I think I should do the same. Congratulations to you because I heard that your career is progressing quite well. Besides being beautiful, you're also a great woman." Juan complimented Ruby to get her attention.
Ruby became more confident. There was a hint of pride in her. She smoothed her hair and said, "It's my hard work, Mr. Juan. I've been working hard to get the best performance."
In the middle of a serious conversation, her cell phone suddenly rang. Ruby quickly reached into her bag and found an important call from her manager. That made Ruby smile. She knew that her manager would discuss something meaningful with her.
"I have to answer my phone." Ruby looked at Juan before she answered the phone.
Juan nodded his head. "Yes, of course. You can do it."
Ruby nodded. She quickly answered the call without leaving Juan's presence. "Sir, is there any important work that requires you to call me?"
"Miss Ruby, we are informing you that the cooperation in our company has been temporarily suspended." The stern voice made Ruby feel very shocked.
