Chapter 67

Davis looked for the woman and found her walking on the sidewalk alone. "I should follow that woman so she doesn't harm herself again."

Davis followed the woman to the outskirts of the city. He walked in a dimly lit, deserted alley between two abandoned buildings.

Davis came out of the alley. He saw a lot of shabby houses with various used goods arranged next to the houses. Lots of trash was scattered everywhere. A dog suddenly barked when Davis stopped at an intersection.

Davis ignored the dog, walking faster when an old man threw something at the dog. He looked around, searching for the woman's whereabouts. "I lost that woman."

Davis entered one alley after another until he reached the end of the neighborhood. "That woman either went home or she deliberately brought me to this place because she knew I was following her. What happened to that woman?"

"You damn woman! Why are you still alive? Didn't I tell you to die and not trouble me and my wife anymore?" someone shouted.
