Chapter 54 - First Round

Daniel went alone to arena number 50. Before arriving there, he had lost Jeffrey, who had gone somewhere without telling him.

When he arrived there, he only saw a referee standing at the edge of the arena. No one else was there.

Not long after, he saw a young man with very short hair, almost bald, enter the arena. "Maybe this person's name is Luca!" he thought. "But I didn't notice anything strange about him!"

For the next few minutes, only the three of them were present. As the number indicated, this arena not only had the last number, but also the fewest spectators. Since Luca's arrival, there had been no spectators at all.

"Oh come on! Seriously! Am I the only one who's going to watch this match?" thought Daniel after he was sure that no one else would come to the place.

Then he heard the voice of the announcer again.

"Attention! All participants must be in their respective arenas within three minutes! Any delay, even if it's only a few seconds, will result in disqualification."
