Chapter 8 - Tec-Auto

Ding!

Another email arrived on Daniel's phone. When he opened it, it was a notification about a car show organized by Tec-Auto, the biggest dealer in the city of Tectona. The email also contained some pictures of cars being displayed at the dealership. Most of them were luxury cars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Despite having unlimited money, Daniel did not see the need to buy one of these luxury cars. He had been disciplined since childhood and was used to prioritizing everything. Right now, he just wanted a car that was good enough for his daily use.

After scrolling through some pictures, his attention was drawn to a new truck that was priced quite affordably. "This car is not bad," Daniel thought to himself. Then he got up from his seat.

His current destination was Tec-Auto.

Tec-Auto deserved the title of "the biggest and the best" in the city. From a distance, the dealer's building area was almost the size of a football stadium. When you saw the number of car collections displayed inside, you felt like you were in a car factory.

In front of the main entrance to the dealership, several security guards stood on either side to greet visitors.

"Welcome to Tec-Auto!"

"Please have a look at our newest collections!"

Smiling their best smile, that's what they said every time a visitor or a couple passed them by.

Excited, Daniel walked through the entrance. As he passed them, he received a very different welcome. They turned their heads as if they did not see him.

The officers looked at him and shook their heads. How could a riffraff like him choose such a luxurious place to hang out? He must be a foolish young man from a village who had not yet realized the difference in the upper-class lifestyle in the city!

Since before, all the visitors they had met were from the upper class. This was evident from the clothes they wore. If they were not wearing formal suits, they were wearing expensive branded shirts. Even the women who came wore super luxurious jewelry. Moreover, there were some nobles among them.

In the eyes of the security guards, Daniel looked even worse compared to a servant who was with the wealthy people. Since Daniel entered the dealership, the same thing happened again. None of the Tec-Auto employees cared about him. They preferred to serve other customers. Even when they were not busy, they still turned their faces away from him. They didn't want to waste time with a riffraff who might be lost.

Daniel could feel their degrading looks, but he didn't care. He was looking forward to seeing the car he wanted soon. But after wandering around for almost half an hour, he still hadn't found it. He had only seen luxury cars from famous brands. Some of them were even limited editions. The cheapest car in the show was priced at half a million dollars!

"The truck I wanted should have been on display at this show. It was clearly stated in the email," Daniel muttered with a hint of disappointment. He was almost certain that Tec-Auto didn't have the car he wanted on display.

"Hey, what are you doing here?"

A voice from the side startled Daniel. When he turned to look at the source of the voice, a woman in her thirties, wearing a dark blue shirt, was staring at him sharply, her hand resting on her slender waist. From her appearance, the woman seemed to have a higher position.

"I'm looking for a car," Daniel replied flatly.

The woman ignored Daniel's reply. She thought that the young man in front of her was just using this event to beg for money.

"Are you blind? This is no place to beg! Get out of here now!"

"What do you mean? I came to buy a car." Daniel looked relaxed. He ignored the woman's rude treatment.

"Go now before the security guards drag you out!"

"What's wrong with you? Shouldn't everyone who comes here be served..."

Before Daniel could finish his sentence, one of the guards grabbed his arm. He was about to drag him out by force. But before the officer could move, a beautiful girl in a dark formal shirt and knee-length black skirt stopped him from a distance.

"Let him go!" the girl shouted.

Seeing who had given the order, the security officer immediately released Daniel's arm. At the same time, the woman in the dark blue shirt hurriedly approached the beautiful girl.

"Miss Dubois, this is just a beggar trying to cause trouble! We have to get rid of him!" The girl who was called Dubois looked at the girl in the dark blue shirt without expression. "Go away!" she said, gesturing with her head.

The girl then turned to Daniel. "Hello, my name is Helena Dubois. I believe you came here looking for something. Is there anything we can do for you, sir?" As the girl spoke, both corners of her mouth lifted to reveal a beautiful smile. The light in her eyes also showed sincerity and enthusiasm.

Helena Dubois is one of the top executives at Tec-Auto. Her position is the manager of the sales department. Besides having a perfect face and body, her intellectual and emotional intelligence is also excellent. She has solved several complex problems in the company, especially those related to customers. It's no wonder that even though she hasn't worked at the dealership for a year, her career has skyrocketed.

At this point, Daniel didn't really want to stay there any longer. But when he saw Helena's friendly attitude and treatment, he changed his mind.

"Hello, I'm Daniel. I'm looking for a car, but I can't seem to find it."

"Really? What kind of car are you looking for?"

Daniel then took out his phone and showed Helena a picture of the car he wanted. The girl only had to look at it to recognize the type and brand of the car. For a moment her face looked as if she remembered something.

"Mr. Daniel, would you like to follow me? We have a car to suit your needs in the building at the back."

Daniel was impressed with Helena's treatment. The girl was really different from the other employees. Even though what he wanted was not a luxury car, she still served him sincerely.

"Of course!"

When some employees saw Helena and Daniel walking side by side, they couldn't help but comment.

"Miss Dubois is too kind to such a beggar! She doesn't realize that he's just taking advantage of her kindness!"

"Exactly! I don't trust that rustic young man. He must want to cause trouble in this place!"

"Or even worse, he has bad intentions towards Miss Dubois! I am very worried now. Let's report this to the management!"

Meanwhile, Helena and Daniel had arrived in front of a building that was no less large than the main building of the dealership. When the girl opened the door, a super-luxury coupe in black was displayed right in front of them. It was a limited edition Leopard Black Series.

This was the only luxury car that was not on display during the exhibition. As the name suggests, there are only one hundred of these cars in the world. One unit costs thirteen million dollars!

For a moment, both Helena and Daniel were stunned. Their eyes were fixed on the black car. Especially Helena, who had seen various models and shapes of luxury cars before. However, for her, the Leopard Black Series managed to surpass them all. The appearance of this car was truly extraordinary!

Helena didn't know how long the car had been there. But when she saw Daniel's expression frozen in front of the car, mischievous intentions arose in her heart.

"Mr. Daniel, is this the car you want?" Helena asked with a small smile. She didn't mean to insult Daniel. The girl just wanted to tease him.

This question snapped Daniel out of his trance. "No! Of course not!" He shook his head, still with a sour smile.

When Daniel looked back, he saw a row of cars of different types and brands. Of course, since they were ordinary cars, their prices were far below the price of the car at the show. Daniel also found the car he wanted there.

"Alright, Mr. Daniel, we can go back to the front to complete the payment. I will ask the staff to release the car after that."

They walked out of the building. However, a few steps before reaching the door, there was something wrong with Helena's step. She was wearing higher heels than usual, and her body became slightly unbalanced, almost falling backwards.

"Aw!"

Daniel seemed to have anticipated this. He quickly caught Helena's body.

The girl just froze and stared at Daniel. A mixture of fear and surprise overwhelmed her heart. But she was also happy when Daniel caught her. When she felt the warmth of Daniel's body through her back, the girl's face blushed slightly.

"Miss Dubois, are you all right?" Daniel asked, still holding Helena's body in his arms. The girl didn't answer. She just shook her head weakly.

A few seconds later, four men came into the room. A middle-aged man in a black suit led the way. Two tall, muscular guards followed. Behind them was a young and handsome man in a silver suit.
