It became so intense that the guests who were all a few feet away and more could also see it.

“You’re right boss. It is vibrating” the assistant said, surprised.

“You think?! What the hell is this?!” The presenter said, panicked.

All the guests who also saw the Rubix cube in the presenter’s hand vibrate like crazy started to become curious and concerned.

“What’s going on with that thing?”

“Why is it shaking so much?”

“Isn’t that a normal Rubix cube?”

They all asked as they slowly walked closer to get a better view of what was going on.

“Oh my gosh!” The presenter exclaimed again.

“What, boss?!” Exclaimed the assistant, startled by the presenter’s sudden outburst.

“This thing, it’s getting hotter—“ the presenter said, but was cut off.

“Throw it away, right now!” Everyone heard and when they looked at the source of the command, they saw that it was Jeremiah.

“What?!” The presenter asked loudly.

“That cube, throw it away, right now!” Jeremiah yelled, using his body to cover Reginald, wh

“Ahh!” The guests, who managed to escape the building, screamed at the top of their lungs, fear gripping them as they fled. They wouldn’t stop running until they knew for certain that they were far enough from the explosion to be safe, but considering that none of them understood the type of bomb or what the blast radius of the explosion would be, they decided that they were going to play it safe and keep on running until their legs gave out.“What’s going on?” Brenda asked as she saw the guests running and screaming. “Excuse me, what—” she tried to stop a guest rushing past her, but was ignored as if she were invisible.‘What the hell?’ she thought, a look of frustration crossing her face. ‘For everyone to be running like this… something serious must have happened.’Determined to get answers, Brenda blocked the path of another guest and grabbed the person’s shoulders, giving them no choice but to stop and listen to her.“Tell me what’s going on! Why is everyone running—?” Brenda as

A second before the explosion happened, Jeremiah, who didn’t know if he was going to survive or not, did what anyone in his predicament would do and hardened the front part of his body.Doing that felt instinctively right and it didn’t matter that in normal circumstances, nothing— especially that— would save anyone from a direct bomb blast to the body.Fortunately, this wasn’t normal circumstances and he wasn’t just anyone. He was Lord Crimson. In his arsenal was something that could protect him and save his life, so in a desperate effort to increase his chance of survival, Jeremiah tried to use the magic Reginald had told him that he would be able to use after absorbing enough power from the ring.Jeremiah concentrated like his life depended on it, because it did, desperately trying to use the smallest amount of magic he could create to protect himself. Unfortunately, he wasn’t ready yet, and as such no magic was generated.“Fuck-!” Jeremiah exclaimed and then it happened. The big B

“Son!” Reginald said with widened eyes as he rushed over to Jeremiah who was on the bed. “The bomb! The bomb is about to go off!” Jeremiah exclaimed, his mind still trapped in the memory of seconds before the explosion.“It’s fine, son! The bomb has already gone off and you protected everyone!” Reginald said, holding Jeremiah and trying to comfort him so that he could snap out of it.“It has and everyone is okay?" Jeremiah panted."Yes, son! Everyone survived thanks to you" Reginald replied and Jeremiah finally managed to calm down."Good, son. Relax cause you're fine now" "Where am I?” Jeremiah asked, breathing heavily as he looked around. “You’re in my room, son. I brought you here so that you can get treated after surviving such a massive explosion directly to your body” Reginald said.“I survived that? How's that even possible” Jeremiah asked, looking at Reginald with shock in his eyes. That had to be a miracle because who on earth survives a bomb blast to the face? Nobody that

“I’ve come with a report of everything that happened,” Kingston said, and everyone in the room grimaced with serious expressions. “Good. Let’s go to my Study, and you can tell me every single detail,” Reginald said.“Okay, Master” Reginald nodded.Reginald turned to Jeremiah and said “I’ll be right back, My Lord. Kingston and I are just going to step out for a moment to discuss a few things which shouldn’t take too long—““Why are the two of you leaving?” Jeremiah asked, a dissatisfied expression on his face.“As I said, it is to discuss a few things about—“ Reginald replied, but Jeremiah cut him off.“I know you’re leaving because you want to discuss something important, but my question is why can’t you do it here?” Jeremiah asked. Reginald and Kingston looked at each other for a moment, then they looked at Jeremiah, who had a skeptical expression.“Because this is a sensitive matter and I don’t want to stress you with it, especially now that you have just recovered— or more accura

“The eyes of a dragon? What the hell are you talking about?!” Jeremiah asked, facing Obadiah but his eyes drifted to the side, and looked into the mirror in his hand.He couldn’t deny that what the shaman said made a lot of sense. His eyes no longer had any semblance of what a human’s should be.It now had a slightly elongated, almond shape with slightly raised outer corners that gave it an intense and otherworldly look. The sclera was pitch black, the iris a vibrant and unusual golden hue, and a vertical, slit-like pupil that had a reptilian edge to it.His eyes looked like they could pierce through the soul of whoever was being stared at and it sent chills down the spine of the three in the king’s chamber with Jeremiah. “My Lord, remember what I told you a couple of minutes ago about your body becoming different… better… stronger, after surviving the explosion that should have killed you?” Obadiah said, rubbing his neck and soothing the pain of almost being choked to death.“Yes?”

To Jeremiah, the members of Dark Emblem were no longer humans but demons, and he would have no shred of remorse when dealing with them.He just wanted to find them wherever they were and end them right that second. “My Lord, your eyes,” Reginald said, pointing at Jeremiah’s face.“What?” Jeremiah asked.“You’re losing control, again,” Reginald said, staring at Jeremiah, whose eyes were slowly transforming to their dragon form.“Oh, I’m sorry,” Jeremiah said, then took a breath and calmed down, which not only stopped but also reverted the transformation.Jeremiah looked at Obadiah and asked, “So what exactly did the communication you tapped into tell you about their plans?”Obadiah cleared his throat. “Though it was hard to get clear information because I’m not as strong as I once was, and they are actively stopping me from tapping into their channels, I was able to get information that they were going to infiltrate and retrieve two targets from the ceremony,” Obadiah said and everyo

“David has been what?!” Reginald exclaimed. “If the person in question hasn’t been found within the vicinity of the estate by now, then it only means that Dark Emblem has gotten their claws on him,” Obadiah replied, getting rid of all hope that his last statement might have been misunderstood. “Dark Emblem? What’s that—?” Benson mumbled, confused about what was going on but he couldn’t voice them because of where he was and who the people around him were. “Kingston!” Reginald exclaimed, facing the butler. “Yes, master?!” Kingston replied hurriedly. “Every resource and manpower should be put into finding where those Dark Emblem bastards ran off to with David and until we find them, nobody is allowed to travel out of Crimson Fall!” Reginald instructed. “Understood—“ Kingston replied, but was interrupted. “Your Majesty!” Obadiah called, and Reginald turned to him. “I’m sure Dark Emblem has a way of leaving Crimson Fall even if there’s a restriction on all travel routes. She took a deep calming breath then sighed and composed herself.“I went to your chambers to check on the young master as you told me to, but after knocking on the door a few times and not getting back any response, I assumed that the young master was sleeping and opened the door anyway, but to my surprise,

  • CHAPTER 257

Jeremiah went straight for his bedroom where he collected his thoughts, coming up with things he needed now that he had returned to Bakers View. Then, after making a mental list of everything, he left the house, went outside the fence where his motorcycle was still parked, got on it, and drove into town. His first stop for the day was getting clothes for his massive closet, so he drove all the way to the one clothing store he both had experience with and liked how their clothes were. He went to The High Fashion Emporium. He parked in front of the store, got off the motorcycle, and walked towards the entrance. The last time he was there, the convoy of luxurious cars he arrived in drew a lot of unwanted attention from bystanders, and the entourage of security guards that surrounded him and Kingston as they exited the cars didn’t help. Now, with just him and his motorcycle arriving at the store and walking through the entrance, nobody paid him any attention. He was basically inv

  • CHAPTER 256

As Jeremiah and Page drove through the estate, Jeremiah got the opportunity to have a good look at the houses and it would have been an understatement to say that he was impressed by what he saw. He expected nothing less from an estate owned by his family. Very soon, he saw Page’s jeep’s taillight indicating that she was about to go left. Seeing as how there was no junction or intersection in sight, Jeremiah realized that she was about to park.Jeremiah did the same. He turned on his motorcycle’s left blinker and followed Page to park in front of a massive house that was surrounded by a fence— just like all the other houses in the estate.Security was a pivotal part of the estate’s appeal, so every house in it had a gated fence that acted as a second layer of security in case someone managed to go through Desmond and his partner at the entrance gate. That, however, had never happened since the creation of the estate, but it didn’t hurt to be cautious.Page turned off her car’s engin

The sound of a loud horn blared, drawing Jeremiah and the older security officer’s attention to the car that made it and they saw a black BMW Jeep. “She’s here,” the older security officer said, a look of surprise on his face.Jeremiah, who just realized that the driver of the black BMW Jeep was the housing agent he had called— thanks to what he heard the older security officer say—groaned. He got a good look at the woman and thought that she was nice-looking and on the older side, which wasn’t what he expected because she had a youthful voice over the phone.“I guess you were telling the truth,” the older security officer said. Jeremiah looked at the man in uniform and with a cocky smile replied “What? You thought I was lying to you earlier?”“My apologies. I was only doing my job. You can never be too careful about these things” The older security officer lowered his head slightly as he apologized. “It’s fine. I too would have done the same. Anyway…” Jeremiah looked at the Jeep

Both of them entered the office and did all the paperwork to turn Jeremiah into the owner of a new motorcycle and after a couple of minutes, they were done.“It was nice doing business with you, sir” the sales rep shook Jeremiah’s hand over the desk. “Thank you” Jeremiah smirked. “Shall we go get your motorcycle?” The sales rep asked and Jeremiah nodded. Both of them stood up, left the office, and went to where the motorcycle was.Jeremiah got on it, wore the helmet, and drove out of the shop. For safety reasons, the motorcycle only had a small amount of fuel in the tank so Jeremiah had to make a stop at the gas station before continuing his tasks for the day. He filled the tank to the max and then went to his next destination which was looking for a house like he promised Mary he would a couple of weeks ago. After telling his father a couple of weeks ago that he would be returning to Bakers View, Jeremiah was informed that their family owned an estate in the city with many beaut

  • CHAPTER 253

The taxi took Jeremiah to the motorcycle shop which was eighteen minutes away from Maple Hotel and parked on the opposite side of the street.Jeremiah came out and walked to the driver’s side door. He paid the fare the same way he paid last night’s fare— by Apple Pay— and he returned his phone to his pocket.“Tell them, Mark, the taxi driver sent you and they should hook you up with a really good deal,” the driver said. “Thanks. I’ll do that” Jeremiah replied as he crossed the street while the taxi drove away. Since he could hear extremely well, he didn’t need to look at incoming traffic to know when it was safe to walk past the street. Because of that, the people who saw him thought he was being careless. If only they knew the truth.Jeremiah got to the front of the shop and looked at the name on the sign.“Light speed engines” he read and chuckled at how nice the name was.Hoping to get a wonderful motorcycle from them, Jeremiah walked into the shop and saw all the beautiful moto

  • CHAPTER 252

After a few minutes of freshening up, Jeremiah came out of the bathroom, looking clean and great as always. There was already a towel waiting to be used in the shower so he obliged himself and used it to dry up. Then, he wore the pristine white Maple Hotel robe that was next to the towel on the hanger and he came out of the bathroom. Sadly, the one thing he needed that wasn’t present in the bathroom or room was underwear as it would be considered inappropriate if the hotel provided it for the guests. That meant Jeremiah, who didn’t want to be butt naked had to repeat the underwear he wore throughout the day. Fortunately, the cleanliness of the underwear wasn’t a problem because there was a handy spell he learned from Obadiah that was meant to clean fabric. The spell was the shaman’s favorite spell as since he roamed around the world trying to prevent Dark Emblem from finding him, he couldn’t carry much luggage besides the necessary. This made him have limited options when it c

James was the guide they called when a very special person was lodging a room in the hotel so he understood the assignment perfectly which was to make Jeremiah as comfortable as possible They both walked to the elevator and James pressed the button to make the door open on the floor they were on but just as they started to wait, Jeremiah said:“If you don’t mind, can we use the stairs instead of the elevator?” James looked at the young master and furrowed his eyebrows.“Why, sir? Do you have an issue with elevators?” The guide asked as he had never once heard of a situation where a guest wanted to take the stairs instead of the elevator.Jeremiah shrugged and replied “Not an issue per se but using an elevator makes me nauseous. If possible, I would like to avoid that” Jeremiah had always been nauseous when using an elevator so he always avoided it. However, since he got his powers back at Crimson Fall, he hadn’t been in one. As such, he didn’t know if he would get nauseous still or

  • CHAPTER 250

After a couple of minutes of smooth driving, the taxi finally arrived at the destination. The driver parked in front of the entrance of the hotel and looked at Jeremiah in the back seat.“Welcome to Maple Hotel, sir. It has everything a fine gentleman like yourself could ever want. It’s a little bit on the pricy side but being a good judge of people I have a feeling the price wouldn’t be a problem for you” the driver smiled. Jeremiah looked at the hotel and groaned.“You like it, don’t you? Trust me, I know what you’ll enjoy so please check it out,” the driver said. “Thanks for the ride and helping me decide which hotel to stay in,” Jeremiah said and the driver grinned proudly. Jeremiah came out of the car, walked to the front passenger side, and pushed his upper body through the open window.“You use Apple Pay, right?” He asked as he took out his phone from his pocket.“Of course, sir” the driver replied. He reached for his phone and set up the price while Jeremiah entered his Ap

  • CHAPTER 249

Obadiah started the session by asking Jeremiah how far he had gone in the grimoire he gave him and when Jeremiah said how far he was, the shaman was surprised. To think he studied so much in a day. The important part now was if he had mastered what he studied and to know that, the shaman tested him. To no surprise, Jeremiah aced all the tests and with that, their training fast-tracked by a lot but that wasn’t a problem.Obadiah had realized how quickly Jeremiah learned magic so he took into account that Jeremiah would have made a lot of progress by the time they met again and to not repeat the last training session, he made sure he had enough to teach the young master that day. By the time they were done for the day, Jeremiah’s skill had advanced greatly. “At this rate, you will be just as proficient as me by the time I want to leave Crimson Fall” Obadiah joked and Jeremiah laughed. They ended training for the day and both men went to spend the rest of their day doing what they w
