When I found out that Eric had political interests in me, I knew that this interrogation was just a cover to try and get back at me. He would go to any lengths to make amends with me for having eliminated Zhar, his adoptive brother, even if I had acted in self-defence.

"I can see your pupils dilating; you realise now that I won't let you off easily, right? Forget about your dinner promise; I'll keep your lovely lady waiting. Maybe until she gets bored and considers me as your replacement?" he joked, which wasn't funny at all.

"Hey, don't use Anne as a subject of your jokes," Bash rebuked.

'Hm, I never thought there would come a day when we'd share the same principles.'

"Alright, boss," Eric raised his hands as if surrendering. "Let's not bother with the interrogation. Just throw this guy into the most isolated prison here; don't let him see the sun until he breaks and surrenders."
