Chapter 38

Ric paced up and down the length of their box at Rogue's as Brown looked on an expensive cigar on his lips, and he executed rapid short puffs from it, the feeling calmed him as he thought back on his humiliation, he thought back to Mason looking down at him from the tip of his nose and Brown's hand shook again in rage. That peasant, he thought. Wealth should not be given to just anybody and that Mason looked the most entitled as he climbed the stage like he lived his whole life on it. Brown needed to humiliate him, taking his power from would not be enough, he needed to humiliate him in different ways, and as usual his devious mind was already scheming. Scheming was what he did best after all, he was a master at it, and there was nobody he had met in his life that he could not beat. Nobody has cunning.
