Jane was on Mason's chest who rested on the car seat as they drove back to Jane's estate from the airport. She kept on fiddling with his shirt button as the recent occurrence replayed in her mind. She can't believe this! Mason held her close to him, so close that Jane wondered whether he was fearing she would disappear any minute. She has to reassure him that she is going nowhere and will stay with him but she has to be sure of something. Did he propose to her because he wished to or it was because of the rumors and he fears it turning into a scandal and destroying all his hard built fortune.

"I'm glad you accepted my proposal. Thanks dear." Mason hugged her tightly. He kissed her forehead as a victory smile lingered on his lips. They were already in Jane's estate away from the reporters and prying eyes. Jane smiled back at him.

"This must be expensive." She purred, flaunting her ring. Mason chuckled at her words. He took off his suit and hung it. They were in Mason's room.
