Chapter Three

Ashley's rich boyfriend chuckled mockingly at Jeff . Letting go off her waist and moving towards Jeff .

"It's high time you accept the truth Jeff . Move on with your life, because I'll never be with you in your journey hopelessness," Ashley snapped, making her decision clear to Jeff .

Jeff just gazed at Ashley, as she smirked proudly at him, with her hands on her waist.

Ashley's rich boyfriend stood beside Jeff and scoffed. Jeff glanced at him then back at Ashley.

"It must hurt huh? To get rejected by the one you love so much. It's actually your fault Jeff or whatever your name is," the rich fellow whispered to Jeff .

"The funny part of it all is that you and Ashley have been dating for long and have never had sex," he whispered and smirked at Jeff .

Jeff 's eyes widened at Ashley's rich boyfriend. He found the latter grinning at him. Leaning his right arm on Jeff 's shoulder.

"What a terrible relationship I'll say. I'm still surprised that all these years that you two dated, Ashley is still a virgin," he stated.

"The poor girl must have been starving for a man's touch, but your wretchedness wouldn't let you. But don't you worry, I've rescued her from your clutches," he takes his right arm off Jeff 's shoulder.

"Ashley has promised to give it to me. And I'll be having fun with her tonight. Sorry about that jerk," Ashley's boyfriend mocked and winked.

He moved away from Jeff and went back to meet Ashley. Wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her own the lips.

Jeff was shocked to hear this. As far as he remember, Ashley had promised to give her virginity to him after they get married.

But Ashley has shown her true colours to Jeff . She proved that she never loved Jeff all these years. This made Jeff angry.

Everything he had dreamt of doing for her, was just a figment of his imagination. Ashley has broken his heart.

"Let's go love. I still have a special surprise for you back at my place," the rich fellow said to Ashley.

Ashley gasped excitedly. She shrieked happily and jumped on her boyfriend. "I love you so much Trent," she confessed again.

Trent, Ashley's rich boyfriend, smirked at Ashley. They both glanced at Jeff and walked away from the college square.

Jeff watched them leave the college square. He could hear the voices of other students laughing at him mockingly.

"What a loser!" Some girls laughed mockingly at Jeff .

"That Trent is hot. Ashley is super lucky to have him by her side. So much love!" Another group of girls exclaimed.

"This dude ought to be ashamed of himself. He's such a loser, thinking he can match up with that wealthy dude," a guy mocked Jeff .

Jeff heard all their taunts but doesn't say a word. He just stood there frozen. Thinking about the horror that just unfolded.

His friends, Joe, Phill and Mike witnessed what had happened. They never expected such a terrible scene to take place.

"I knew all along that Ashley was no good. I never knew that she'll show her true colors today," Phill pointed out, looking angry.

"Damn that bitch and her lover. They just humiliated our friend in public," Joe said, feeling sad about what happened to Jeff .

"I swear to God, if not because we're friends with Jeff , I would have marched up to Ashley and that rich son of a bitch and punched them right in the faces," Mike sparked. Smashing his right hand fist into his left hand palm.

Unknown to them, while they were talking, a group of students standing beside them, heard them.

A girl in the group heard what Mike said. She gasped furiously and faced the three guys.

"Unbelievable! You three are so devilish! A young beauty finally found the man of her dream, who's ready to lavish her with wealth and you want to punch them? Damn you!" The girl sparked at them.

"Hey! Watch it! No one was talking to you anyway. So you better mind your business," Joe warned the girl.

A guy, who turned out to be the girl's boyfriend, scoffed at Joe and poked him right in the chest.

"Are you trying to fight my girl over your loser friend? No one stopped him from being employed or wealthy. He decided to be that way," the fellow taunted.

"Watch it Bozo! At least my friend is making an attempt in finding a job. What can you do? You look like someone who still begs his parents for money," Phill poured out furiously.

The guy and his friends got angry that they got into a hot argument with Joe, Phill and Mike. The trio stood and defended their friend.

Other students who were leaving, saw this battle on folding and waited back to watch. They were waiting for a fight to unfold.

While all these was going on, Jeff , who stood frozen and lost in his thoughts and sorrow, groaned angrily.

The memories of his relationship with Ashley in the past years came flooding back in his head.

He could remember the first day he met Ashley. They both fell in love and did everything together.

Then, some students who saw them walking hand in hand would tease them and call them couples.

Ashley would blush girlie and hold unto Jeff shyly, while he felt proud to have her beside him.

But thinking of all those memories, felt like a nightmare to him. His hopes and dreams have been shattered by the woman he loved.

"Ashley why? Why did you hurt me this way? After all my love and affection. I showered you with all my heart and soul. Why?" Jeff asked rhetorically.

"Ashley has promised to give it to me. And I'll be having fun with her tonight. Sorry about that jerk." Trent's words and annoying smirk appeared in his head.

Jeff 's eyes welled up with tears. He squeezed his hands into a ball of fist. He groaned and suddenly grabbed his head.

Dragging his head angrily like someone who was insane. He wished he could erase all his memories with Ashley.

Jeff was so furious that he suddenly grew weak. His anger for both Trent and Ashley caused him to loose himself.

Jeff suddenly fell dizzy. He tried to get himself but couldn't. "Ashley, why?" He groaned while trying to balance himself.

Just then, a voice said at once. "System linking to the subject. Link successful."

"What?" Jeff looked up, trying to figure out where the voice came from.

But before he could figure it out, Jeff became unconscious. His eyes went shut and he fell hard to the ground.

His roommates were still arguing, not knowing what had happened yet. They soon knew what was happening, when a girl screamed.

They all looked towards Jeff 's direction and found him face flat on the ground.

"Jeff !" Phill screamed and rushed along with Joe and Mike to check up on him.

The other students stood aside, watching them as they got to Jeff and tried to wake him up.

"Bro what happened?" Joe asked, tapping Jeff on the face.

"Dude he's unconscious! We better take him to the hospital quickly," Mike suggested quickly.

"Gotcha!" Phill and Joe lifted Jeff off the ground and straight on Mike's back.

Since Mike had muscles more than the other two, he offered himself to carry his roommate.

The trio dashed out of the college square with Jeff , with eyes of witnesses watching.

Some students got scared and worried about Jeff , while others believed that he fainted like a coward, because he couldn't bear what had happened.

"What a loser. He fainted like a girl," the guy Jeff 's roommates were arguing with, mocked. Laughing at what happened.

Jeff 's roommates got a cab and took Jeff to the hospital quickly.
