The engineer was in his office, trying to draft out the list of items that he needed to buy, as most of his working materials had finished.

He thought about Nexumcore. He wondered what the chief minister wanted to do with it. He knew how devilish the chief minister could be, and he knew what the gravity of it would be, when he takes control of the robotic device.

However, he had sensed that there was something different about Nexumcore. Although he was not working in Maratha Industries, he knew a lot about the robotic device.

He knew how it was operated, what code to launch on it, and the rest, but while he was trying to fix it, he found it difficult to work on it.

It was what made him ask the chief minister for more days, so that he could work on it, as it was giving him a tough time.

He had noticed that there might have been some changes in the robotic device. He was an engineer, of course, he would be able to tell if there was a problem or a change in something.

Although he could p

They shut the door with a loud bang, leaving him to fate. He did not care what would happen to him, or how he would survive the beating. He was at least satisfied that he had taught the engineer a lesson he would never forget so easily. The engineer laid on the floor, looking helpless and weak. He could barely open his eyes. His vision was blurry, he could not even move a muscle. He just laid there, helplessly, wishing that someone would come and help him. His face was covered in blood, as they had kicked him severally, causing blood to come out of his mouth and nose.He could swear that he did absolutely nothing to the robotic device. He did not even know what the chief minister was talking about.Even though he had not tested out the robotic device yet, before giving it to the chief minister, he was sure that he had successfully computed the device and coded it with the right programme. He could hardly even move his body. He gave up trying to stand up. He just laid there until he re

Arjun sat in a room, replaying the video again. He could not help, but laugh at the chief minister's foolishness. In the room with him were the two security men that stood at the exit and the guy who had planted the bug in his car."Sir, how did you know that he would come for Nexumcore?" One of the security men asked. He was intrigued by Arjun's cleverness. He never thought that someone would be this smart, and calmly take a step ahead of his enemy without even being noticed.Arjun smiled, "one secret people don't usually know is that every detail matters. Even the tiniest detail that seems insignificant." He began. The men looked puzzled. They could not understand what Arjun was implying. However, they gave their listening ears to him, paying good attention to what he had to say."When I had returned from the outskirts of Castle City. I had visited the president, during the period of terrorism. I had a conversation with the chief minister, as well. Although I knew his plans of taki

"LOADING..." Could it be that it had worked? Did he get it right? Just as the chief minister thought that it had worked, he waited patiently for it to finish loading. He had waited for like five minutes, but it still showed loading. He decided to be patient, at least, it was showing some progress.Thirty minutes into it, it was still loading. He wondered what kind of robotic device it was. He was getting angry already. He felt like throwing the device away."What kind of—"Just as he was about to vent his anger, the device suddenly stopped showing loading. His patience was running thin.In fact, he was at the verge of giving up. He looked at the device with a whole lot of attention and focus, patiently waiting for the next information and message that was going to be displayed on the device. There was nothing on the screen. It was as if the screen shut down totally. He kept waiting, but nothing was still popping up.Soon, the device dinged like a bell, as though it was its notificat

The ministers had gone to see him, hoping they could get something from him. They needed money, but it seemed like all four of them were in a financial drainage. It was funny how they all had money and everything they needed in a minute, and in just a snap of the finger, everything was gone. They left the chief minister's house in disappoinment. They felt like the chief minister was hiding something from them, but they could not tell what exactly it was."Do you feel like there is something the chief minister is not telling us?" Mr. Amit asked, as they walked into the car. They had been quiet all through, as if they were tongue-tied or prevented from speaking."Well, I notice how uneasy he felt. It was as though he was not expecting to see us. Did you not notice how he sent us out almost immediately?" Mr. Mahadev commented.Mr. Brijesh remained silent. His mind was far from their discussion. He did not feel the need to include himself in the conversation. All he thought of was how he

The chief minister stared at the phone that laid on the table. For some reason, his heartbeat skipped. He did not know who was calling, as it was from an unknown number, but he felt like it was from a certain person he was trying to run away from.He slowly moved to the table, and picked up the phone. He swiped it open, and pressed the green button, answering the phone. He placed the phone on his ear, but no one was speaking. He looked at his screen again, to make sure that he had answered the call.A little frown was on his face, as he wondered what kind of stupid game the person was playing with him."Hello?" He said, thinking that the person wanted him to speak up first. "Hello, who is this? Are you trying to play games with me? Do you know who I am? If this is a mistake, I advise you to apologize now and end this stupid call," he somehow threatened. His grip on the phone was tight. He just wanted to vent his anger and frustration.Thinking that his words would make the caller to

The chief minister was shocked. He did not even expect it. How did he know he was travelling today? How did he even know his whereabouts? He knew that he was screwed. He had messed up. Thinking about it, he was sure that it had something to do with the robotic device that went missing.Of course, Arjun was its developer, but the chief minister had no idea of this information. Since Arjun wanted to maintain a low profile, no one had really talked about him being the creator of Nexumcore.Arjun had used a different route to get to the airport. While the chief minister thought that he was heading to the airport and was so close to it, Arjun had used that route to take the chief minister back to his house. The only difference was that, this time, it was at the back of the house, and since the chief minister was too busy to watch him, he had failed to notice that they had reached the house again."So, Mr. Chief Minister, you should know by now that I am not here to waste any time," Arjun b

He didn't know why he yelled that way, but there was something dubious about the activation. He would rather return it and leave the country, than to stay back again."Why?" Arjun asked, "did you not want Nexumcore so badly? You wanted to control it, right? Let me be of help to you, our dear chief minister."The chief minister shook his head, vehemently. If it had anything to do with Arjun, he did not want it. The man was not someone to joke with at all.Arjun took out a remote like device that had several buttons on it. These buttons were similar to the ones on Nexumcore. The chief minister just sat there and watched him type some codes into his computer, and then, he pressed enter. The remote was activated in a short while."Stop playing around, Arjun. We are already at the airport, there is no way you can activate the robotic device at all. My house is more than an hour drive from the airport, so before you get there, things might turn around. Think about it," the chief minister pr

The chief minister did not know what was going on. Did Arjun not activate the robotic device? Did the remote control not mean that whatever button you pressed, it would cause the robotic device to operate? Why did it not attack Arjun? The engineer had already programmed the robotic device, so to the chief minister, the only thing that was left was the remote control which Arjun had activated to operate. Why then did it not follow his commands? The chief minister quickly ran to the robotic device, and grabbed his phone. He looked at the screen of the phone, Nexumcore had already placed orders on things that he did not even need."What the—" he paused, checking the total amount of the items Nexumcore had ordered.Eight hundred and nineteen dollars! How? What was he going to even do with the items, anyway? No, it was not the most important question. The question he was supposed to ask was where he would get that amount of money to pay for these things that he did not even need in the
