99: Face Smacking
At Polite Shopping Mall, Darius drove in with his car and quickly opened the door. He hastened to his office. The call he just answered worsened his mood.

As he reached the second floor where his office was located, his heart began racing as he wondered what resulted in his assistant calling him and requesting his presence urgently and ending the call without letting him know what was happening or the need for his presence.

"Sir, the new boss came here and asked about you; I told him you had come to work and gone somewhere," the assistant said.

"Damn it! Why would you do that? Darius yelled.

"You should have told him I haven't come yet," he added.

"But sir, I thought that's what you told me to be telling the boss," the assistant retorted.

"That's for the old boss, man!" he replied.

"I'm sorry, sir," the assistant apologized.

Darius walked over to his office and settled in. Just as he was about to bring out the files and arrange for what was needed in the company, his messenger knocked.
