06 : Young Master

Hudson's eyes flickered open and then he closed it sharply back almost immediately, due to the bright light reflecting in his eyes, he opened it back slowly to get adjusted to the bright light in the room. He opened his eyes to see a white ceiling, he tilted his head and looked around the room, wondering where he was.

There was a calendar hung on the wall beside him.

“Sunday?” he muttered after seeing the day, wondering how he got here, he furrowed his eyebrows thinking harder, he remembered jumping into the water.,

He saw wires and needles connected to his body, he pulled them out and stood off the bed he was lying on, walking towards the door as fast as his staggering legs could carry him., he pushed the door open and stepped out but he was stopped by two men on suit, they looked like they have been guarding the room.

He was

Hudson looked at them with a confused expression on his face.

“Sorry young master, we can’t allow you out, your father ordered us not to” one of them said with a deep voice, his confusion increased after hearing this.

“Young master?” he asked, the words sounded familiar, he felt like he had been called that before by someone but he can’t really remember who did.

“Father?” he asked with a slight chuckle and continued, “I am not a young master and I have no dad, I think you must be mistaken” he said with a slight scoff.

“See I am just a poor delivery guy, I think you have the wrong person, so please can you just let me go?” he asked politely and jumped forward before he could even get a reply.

He felt the floor getting closer every second and his eyelids were becoming too heavy to keep open. “Fuck!” he muttered as he felt himself falling into that darkness again, losing consciousness, he felt a strong arm grab him just when his face was a few inches away from the ground.

Hudson flickered his eyes open after a couple of hours of being in an unconscious state, he felt that those needles and wire that he had removed before had been inserted back, he laid still for a while, just looking blankly at the ceiling that was above him.

“My son” he heard a voice beside him, he tilted his head and jolted up in shock.

Looking at the man sitting on the chair beside where he was lying.

“Sir, I am sorry but I think you are greatly mistaken, I don’t remember having a father, my mum told me that he was dead just after I was given birth to” he said in confusion while looking at the man.

“I am a poor delivery guy, I am not your son, I think you have got me mistaken for someone, I remember drowning myself, I am not even supposed to be alive—“

“Well, I couldn’t let you die like that” the older looking man answered him with a smile on his face. The air around him felt superior and heavy, Hudson could tell that he was not an ordinary man.

"I am Alexandros," the mysterious man began with an expressionless face at first, a smile appeared on his face slowly, "Alexandros Stewart to be exact and I am your father, son"

Hudson shook his head strongly in protest against what he just said, "I already told you that there is a mistake here, I am not your son, my last name is not Stewart. My mum told me that my father died when I was born and I was made an orphan after she was killed. My last name is Jackson and I have no parents at all" he replied, trying to mask the pain in his voice.

"I am sorry about her death, I am trying all I can to get the killers and put them behind the bars and I won't stop till I do" Alexandros said sympathetically.

Hudson stared at him with shock written all over his face, he was left speechless, this man sitting before him sounded with so much conviction, he was very confident that he was right.

Alexandros scoffed lightly, "I am not mistaken son. I am your father, I was not dead. I just went into hiding at that period, I had to, for the safety of the both of you. She understood how dangerous my job is and she still married me nevertheless and bore a child for me." his voice was filled with so much happiness as he went down memory lane.

"I was there when you had your five years old birthday. I stayed till you were six and then I had to leave again, I guess you can't remember, it was a really long time ago. I really wished I could stay but I had to leave, I was alive all those years you thought I was dead, I was just hiding and trying to keep the both of you out of harms' way" he sighed and relaxed his back on the chair.

Hudson just stared at him with his mouth opened agape and a surprised expression on his face.

He gulped hard and turned his face away from him, staring at the bed with a different expression taking over his face.

"I know it's all too much to take in at once, the doctor said you will be discharged in a few hours time, I will leave the guards at the door and one other person, they will bring you to my place. Please have dinner with me, I will tell you more, I wish to spend more time with you but I really have something to settle" he said, taking a look at his watch.

"Ok" Hudson nodded his head in, he saw the smile on his face before he left.

Hudson scoffed, it does not look like he had a choice after all, this man that called himself his father saved him and paid the bills, the least he could do to pay him back is to attend this dinner that he was inviting him to.

Just like the man had said, he was discharged after a few hours, some documents were paid by an old man who still looked very much agile.

He was given new clothes to wear, they had discarded the one he put on before.

He was escorted to a black BMW car parked by the side of the hospital, the car had tinted glasses.

The car was ignited, he was sitting in the back seat with the old man, while the other two bodyguards were sitting in the front seat, one at the drivers' seat.

"I am Alberto, young master," the old man began, "I couldn't introduce myself to you earlier and wanted you and your dad to have a quality time" he added.

"My dad" Hudson muttered under his breath with disbelief and the old man sensed it.

He let out a scoff, "I see you are still having a hard time accepting that he is your Dad"

Hudson did not reply but just rested his head on the glass, he could tell that this man is rich; no, very rich will be an understatement to describe this man's wealth.
