The ruckus had all passed and Taron and Rebecca were enjoying their lives as a new couple, and in his heart, Taron was starting to believe that Rebecca was the one for him. He loved Rebecca and always thought of her before he did anything, but the scars he had gotten from Selena had done him a good number. “Taron? Baby, what’s wrong?” Rebecca asked Taron after she saw him looking out into space, distracted. They were on a date at a fancy restaurant, and Taron was trying to put the past behind him. He was in a relationship with Rebecca, and Rebecca was definitely not Selena. There was no similarity, especially behavior-wise, and Taron felt terrible for thinking about Selena when they were having alone time. Rebecca was having fun. Being with Taron was easily the best decision she had made all year. Taron was so sweet, and he paid attention. He not only listened, but he remembered whatever it was that she had said, so it was easier. Taron was not listening to her. Sure, she was
Taron hit his hands on the table as he looked at the results. Apparently, the new files he got on the Hernandez’s heir held a different thing from what he had before. “But I don’t understand, didn’t they say that they found him as an artist under a fake name?” Rebecca asked. “Well, according to these papers, that was also a fake name, and it seemed that he had noticed that he was being followed and so he disappeared.” Taron said in a calm, controlled voice. “How do these people manage to be terrible at their job?” Rebecca asked before dialing their customer care service. Taron admired how Rebecca helped him run the place with an iron fist. He admired how she handled affairs with such a passion that one would think that they were her own problems, and not problems of the firm. “Yes, hello? We are calling based on inaccurate information supplied…” Rebecca got up to leave the office and Taron sighed. Whoever it was that was on the receiving end was definitely going to be i
Rebecca was nervous because it was the first night jn date that she was going to be having with Taron, and she was supposed to prepare a nice meal for them to take. It was not that Rebecca could not cook, but she was not used to making dishes. Her specialty was ordering meals from nearby restaurants. And it did not get any easier as she was not sure of what to make, although Taron had assured her that he would still be happy if she ordered pizza and had them eat it with some soda on the side. And oh, how Rebecca felt tempted to abandon her plans of cooking and ordering something else instead. “No.” She hit herself on the head after deciding that she would just make some white rice and serve it with chicken sauce and fish. The incident that happened before had been proven to just be a random person who had decided to choose a life of crime. It was not related to Taron and neither was there anyone who had her on their target list. At least, that one did not have her on his, he co
Rebecca had lit candles and had soft music playing in the background. They sat on the couch and talked about their day, laughing. Taron had insisted on making the meal the last part of what they had to do, and Rebecca did not mind because the food was piping hot, fresh from the pot. “So, what did you do today?” Taron asked, giving Rebecca a kiss on the head as they watched the television. “Nothing much, actually.” Rebecca said before shaking her head. “Actually, there was a lot that happened today, especially when I went to go and get stuff at the grocery store.” Rebecca said. “Okay, let me know, I’m interested.” Taron relaxed to listen to her talk. “When I got there to get some rice and fish and some spices, there was a woman holding up the line and talking to the cashier, and you know, I was in a hurry, so I told them off and told them that we had better things to do outside the store.” Rebecca said. “Wow, and did they listen?” Taron asked. “Of course they did
Taron found himself at a crossroads. There was tension between his family's ranch and the neighboring ranch, and things seemed tohave reached a boiling point. Taron knew that the solution lay in working together with the other family to build a fence, but they were too stubborn to admit it. Taron blinked as he looked around him. How did he get back in Texas? Taron could hear the laughter of a woman and suddenly, he found himself riding a horse with her through the fields. Music was coming from somewhere and it made Taron remember his grandmother and the sound of her cello while they went on picnic dates. Taron had always found picnics to be boring but it was always exciting to see her eyes sparkle with passion. Taron sighed as he adjusted his beanie. He realised that he was just in another one of his dreams where his brain would decide to reopen a section of the past. “Guess I’m stuck in here for now.” Taron said, and he looked down to see that he was actually stuck in mud.
“So, I need proof that I would be able to work with you.” Rebecca said as she sat in front of the unsmiling man. “What are you talking about? I just gave you reviews.” The man said. “But dear, reviews can lie.” Rebecca did not look impressed either. After Taron and her had had a wonderful lunch, they had fell asleep while watching television, and Taron had woken up excited, but in a bad way. He had a nightmare, and Rebecca did not know how to feel about that so she decided to forget all about it, knowing that the next in house date that they were going to have was going to be at Taron’s house. Now, she was supposed to be working, and she would be damned if she would allow anyone to get y to her. Her date did not go as well as she thought it would, and she felt that she should bear the guilt of if since it occurred at her house. “What do you want to see in order to know that I will do the job perfectly?” Mr Zaphi asked, and Rebecca rolled her eyes. “Are you asking me
A lot of thoughts ran through Taron’s mind as he wondered what he was going to get out of this place. What if what he got was nothing but another disappointment? And after spending a lot of money too, because hiring a private investigator was expensive. And this time, he was hiring not one, but multiple ones to make sure the search went right. “We are at the top floor, sir.” One of the guards tell Taron and walks out to make sure everything is safe before Taron follows. “Do you think that we might get something out of this?” He asked aloud, but his guards did not answer. “Do I need to repeat myself?” Taron asked in annoyance. “No sir, we think it would go great.” They said in unison as if they had rehearsed it beforehand. “That’s how I’m hoping that it would go, so I would take your word for it.” Taron said and made his way forward. A tall, scrawny looking man was exiting a room from the door in front of them and Taron stopped him. “Hello, I’d like to see the D
Taron and Rebecca were having dinner, in a restaurant this time and Taron had a lot of things he wanted to talk about, but he did not know how to go about it. Luckily for him, Rebecca started to speak first. “So,” She stretched out the words and wrung her fingers nervously. “our last date did not go as expected.” “Well yeah, I mean, it was super awkward and everything.” Taron replied, looking away. “Yeah, I’m sorry, it’s just that I was panicking and for some reason things were not going as well as they usually did.” Rebecca explained. “Oh, you’re talking about you? Please don’t do that to yourself, the meal was lovely, and everything,” Taron looked away. “you know that the only reason why I’m saying that it was awkward was because of the way that I freakishly woke up and woke you up.” Rebecca’s eyes softened as she looked at her boyfriend. “Oh Taron, honey, don’t do this to yourself, it is very normal to have a nightmare.” “It was a very strange nightmare, and hon
