CHAPTER 69

“What do you think? Is it okay?” Taron stood, trying to adjust his outfit.

Rebecca giggled and went to fix his tie. “All except this, sir, don’t you have a mirror at home?” She asked playfully.

“Well, usually before I go to work, especially when there’s an important event coming up, my mother would look at me and see if I got everything fixed up properly,” Taron said. “but now she has gone to stay with someone else.”

“I’m sorry I asked.” Rebecca wished that she knew when to keep her mouth shut.

“Don’t be, it’s not your fault that my mother doesn’t care about mg feelings anyway.” He stood up straight and gave himself a one over in the mirror.

“If it’s any consolation, I think your mother truly loves you, I’ve heard her speak of you and it makes me want to have my own child someday.” Rebecca sighed and looked out of the window with a dreamy stare.

“I hope you’re nothing like my mother if you ever have kids.” Taron chuckled and sat down.
