CHAPTER 87

Taron was enjoying himself so much that there were some moments when he forgot that he had things running. He did not realise that he needed the escape from his reality, a chance to feel normal again, especially after all he had been through.

And Rebecca was so happy. All the time. She was usually a cheerful person, but Taron felt that this place had unlocked something in her, and he was happy to be a part of the process. He wanted the people around him to be happy.

“Sir!” Rebecca ran out from somewhere Taron could not see from towards him. She carried a toy gun in her hand.

“What is that?” Taron asked, lowering his sunglasses and focusing on her hand.

Rebecca chuckled. “It’s just a water gun, don’t worry about it.”

“Oh.” Taron nodded, not knowing why she had a water gun, but letting it slide all the same.

“Come and win yours too, when you do that, we would be able to play.” Rebecca said, the excitement flowing through her voice.
