Chapter thirty one

In that moment, Charlie begrudgingly acknowledged that there was something special in his mother's persistent lectures. He realized that although he may not fully understand or appreciate it now, her guidance had the power to shape his choices and shape his future. And for that, deep down, he was grateful, even if he couldn't bring himself to admit it just yet.

Despite not being able to attend his wedding, Charlie's mother remained persistent in advising him on how to be a better man. She took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before responding to his dismissive tone.

"Mum," Charlie began, his tone laced with impatience. "I think I'm not ready to listen to these old folktales. Did you forget that you once told me this? I appreciate the fact that you care about me and want me to be happy, but can you just let me figure things out for now?"
