Clara's gaze shifted in the direction Vivian was pointing, and her eyes fell on Michael.

A disdainful look appeared on her face immediately, and she stared at the young man from head to toe.

Her face tightened in a frown as she looked at Michael's faded shirt and old jeans.

A forceful smile appeared on her face, and she turned to Vivian, "This is business hours, Vivian. Why didn't we pick another day for jokes?"

"Come on, Clara. Do I look like I'm telling a joke?"

Vivian's reply made Clara squint. She wanted to understand her better.

"Mr. Quinn is the one purchasing the property. He will be very glad if you can recommend a building better than this."

Vivian had not finished her speech before Clara cut in, "Come off it, Vivian!!"

Vivian was taken aback to see her friend's eyes turn red. What was wrong? she wondered.

"What do you take me for, Vivian? Why do you have to waste my precious time fooling around? Do you have to take advantage of our friendship so senselessly?"
