Ashton watched Thomas walk out the door and saw the door slam shut behind Thomas. He knew something was up but couldn't tell. He just had to place it on the fact that Thomas was still upset about this whole blogger's nonsense and so he was only heading out to feel a bit better. He made a mental note to treat him to a couple of his favourite drinks at their usual bar later when he was back from wherever he was headed to at the moment. While he waited for him, he would check if the freelance jobs he had applied for online would go through. So he grabbed his laptop computer and began scrolling through his email to see if anyone had responded to his applications. There were quite a few newer emails but nothing of them showed that his applications had been received nor had they viewed his portfolio. He let out a sigh and pushed the laptop computer away from his front. He let out a sigh and looked at the screen dejectedly. Suddenly, an email popped up on his screen. He sat up and looked a
Ashton let out a scoff at Theron's accusations. What was he yapping on about? He wondered. What the hell was he saying? "After you had had your day's fill with my sister and now you're seeing other women?" Theron asked again and this time, Ashton shook his head in disbelief at Theron's audacity. "Bold of you to make such claims as that." He told him. Theron let out a scornful laughter. "What is the case then if I am telling a lie?" He asked him with wide eyes. Then Thomas turned to Elizabeth. "And you," he said spitefully to her. "Do you even think you're any better? You're as bad as he is and that is because you're moving around like a freaking a-" he was saying but Ashton had had enough of his antics and so the next thing was that Theron was flying into the air and to a corner right there in that restaurant. Ashton was fuming, he had shoved Theron away and he didn't waste any time further as he immediately folded the sleeves of his shirt while he approached Theron with a mean gl
"Yeah," the old drunk dude said while Ashton watched him. "Beauty gets into their heads and they ask for divorce. You could have gone for someone else, someone less, prettier." He said to Ashton and he wasn't even slurring. Ashton couldn't tell whether or not he was drunk or if he could still maintain soberness with that bottle of .....was that vodka in his hands? Ashton had thought that it was beer, but upon closer look he could see that this old man probably was having a great night keeping himself warmed up."Want a sip?" He asked Ashton. He had noticed that Ashton was staring at the bottle in his hand. Ashton shook his head no and the man let out a shrug. "Oh well, more for me then." He said and Ashton looked away. "You should get married again." The man opined and Ashton rolled his eyes. Okay who gave this guy the right to advise someone else? "I mean, I can see that you're not over this girl." He said to him and Ashton sighed. Too bad he was going to have to see this through.
Ashton simply couldn’t shake the absurdity of his encounter with the old drunk man. He chuckled to himself again, he could still remember the ridiculousness of their conversation. The old guy had certainly provided a distraction from his unforgetful thoughts about Elizabeth and the bizarre morning they had shared. It was all so unreal that he chuckled to himself again. He hung his damp jacket on the coat stand and proceeded to make his way to the kitchen, still chuckling. Maybe he’d share the story with Thomas tomorrow; it was going to make for a good laugh. He made for himself a cup of coffee, he needed the warmth and comfort to feel more at home and to get more sober even though he already was. He casually strolled to the living room and then settled on the couch, letting the day’s events wash over him........Meanwhile, Rebecc
Rebecca met Myles at the designated spot and she pulled over right in front of him. He got into the car and fastened his seat belt as he turned to look at Rebecca and then let out a huge sigh in exasperation. "What now?" He asked her and she turned to look at him. Rebecca was putting on a pair of dark sunshades. She scrutinised him before she spoke. "I hate him." She said to Myles and he remained silent. He didn't know what to say about that. He knew very well that there indeed was a thin line between love and hate and he was trying to decipher that line to tell what it was that she felt towards her ex husband. "I think you should tell Elizabeth about your history with him. Myles suggested and Rebecca turned to look at him sharply. "Why do I have to do that?" She asked him and for a moment, he thought that she was attacking him. He had to move backwards and away from her on reflection. "Well, you know," Myles said, trying to make her see reason with what he was saying. "So that y
Ashton walked back to his apartment feeling an unexpected lightness. The conversation with Rebecca had brought a feeling of closure and clarity of some sort that he hadn't anticipated. Yet, as satisfying as it was to resolve old issues, he knew that it was only the beginning of dealing with his tangled emotions.Inside his apartment, he was greeted by the silence of his living room. He made himself a sandwich and settled on the couch, pulling out his phone. For a moment, he stared at it, debating whether to call Thomas and share the update. Instead, he opted to send a quick text."Talked to Rebecca. Went well. Will fill you in later."He set the phone aside and took a bite of his sandwich, letting his thoughts wander. Despite the progress with Rebecca, his mind kept drifting back to Elizabeth. He couldn't shake the image of her waking up in his bed, the confusion and awkwardness of that morning, and the unresolved feelings that lingered between them. His phone buzzed with a reply from
Damian got tips of Jessicaʼs return to Brooklyn from a source. He tried reaching out to her severally but couldnʼt get through. Jessica got dressed preparing for another attempt in two weeks to get Nicholas' attention. She wasnʼt deterred. She needed to get to him one way or another. She wiggles the bunch of keys in her hands with a little difficulty as she turns to see Damian. She jittered in fright as she put her hand across her chest squeezing her dress a little. “Someoneʼs gotta put a bell on you!.” She exclaimed, frowning.“You've been ignoring me, why?” Damian asked, visibly angry. “You mind telling me about my child now Jess?” He added.“Heʼs not your child Damian, I've got things to do.” She said, trying to leave.“No you donʼt,” He said, holding her back. “We're going to the hospital to get DNA right now.” He said pulling Jessica.“No Iʼm not following you to any fucking Hospital Damian, youʼd better let go of my hands right now!!” She was still struggling to be free.“I to
He heard Miguel let out a chuckle beside me. "Of course." He said. "You would approve that I get out of your hair." He said and I watched him. "Who wouldn't?" I asked him. "Since you came back to this pack a lot of things have been going haywire. Now I don't know what you're doing but I know you have a hand in something if not everything that is happening." I said and he laughed openly this time. It was like I had told the joke of the century. "You think so?" He asked me. "Do you really think that I am the cause of your problems? Your personal problems Cole?" He asked with a knowing smile and I couldn't help but think that he knew something. I was left off guard at that. "You are an asshole Miguel." I said. "I used to think that you were my brother, my own blood but you are nothing but a traitor." I told him but he didn't seem fazed by my words. If anything he found it fascinating that I was riled up. So he just stood there, smirking at me. Like I was a lunatic here. I clenched my
