GAMES OF MASK

The night air was crisp as Rebecca stepped out of Myles’ car, she allowed her hair to cascade over her shoulders in loose waves as she fixed her lipstick in the side mirror. She glanced at Myles through the reflection, and smirked as she caught his stare.

Tonight wasn’t really about business—it was about putting on a show, and she intended to do just that. It had been a while since she last met with the group and she wanted her come back to look grand. She was their main character after all.

"Ready for a good time?" Myles asked her as he stepped beside her and adjusted the collar of his jacket. There was a casual ease in his tone, but Rebecca knew better—he was still on edge after their conversation earlier that day, she knew this, of course. He hadn’t said much, but she could see the gears turning in that head of his. He hadn’t refused her offer, and that’s all she needed for now. No response was infact a response and that response definitely was a no.
