Rebecca let out a small and sinister smile. She had achieved what she wanted to achieve. She knew the truth and was glad that Laura's action had proven it more. Laura angrily grabbed the bottle and spun it. She probably wanted it to land on Rebecca but unfortunately it didn't. It landed on Elizabeth. Laura let out a small sigh and that seemed to excite Rebecca more.
"Truth or dare Elizabeth?" She asked her while eyeing Rebecca.
"Truth." Elizabeth responded and glanced around the room.
"Is it true that you and Myles were once in a relationship of some sorts?" She asked as she glanced at Rebecca, her temper lowered as she was getting her sweet revenge now. Or so she thought. Rebecca's subconscious rolled her eyes.
What a bitch, she thought.
Elizabeth let out a chuckle while Myles remained silent. She knew the group was suspecting this already.
"Well," Elizabeth said. "I wouldn't say we dated. We were just cl
After Rebecca had given the piece of paper to Elizabeth, she smiled warmly at her while Laura rolled her eyes."Is she now your bestie, huh?" Laura asked. She looked quite offended even though she tried her best to make it look like she was joking.Elizabeth chuckled at that."Laura baby," Elizabeth said. "You of all people know how dear you are to me. Your spot in my heart is irreplaceable. You are my bestie for life. " She said and that seemed to warm Laura's heart. Her eyes warmed up too as they no longer held any form of annoyance.Rebecca on her part wasn't exactly excited that Laura and Elizabeth made themselves besties. She rolled her eyes when she saw that no one was looking. That bitch just had to always ruin whatever Rebecca tried to do."Why don't we play some other game?" Myles asked and everyone turned to look at him. He had on his face, this mischievous smile on his lips and that seemed to bother R
Rebecca eyed Myles from where she stood at the receptionist's counter. She was beyond frustrated. She could have just stayed in here for a few minutes, had Myles gone immediately after dropping her off. Now she was going to have to sit through this.... painful appointment. She let out a sigh as she stared at the dumb receptionist who couldn't save a life even if she tried."Like I said," she said to the receptionist. " I have an appointment with Dr Schwartz." She said to her but the receptionist kept insisting."I'm really sorry ma'am but Dr Schwartz doesn't have any appointments with you." She told her and Rebecca glared at her. "If you could provide any valid evidence that shows that you indeed have an appointment with him, then we'll let you meet him. But for now, there is no proof that you have an appointment with him. " She said and Rebecca was silent for a moment. This wasn't working at all. This lame woman sitting here was as clueless as
"A tooth refill?" Rebecca asked the doctor. She was beyond surprised at his words. What did he mean by a tooth refill? What was wrong? What had happened? She wondered as she stared at the doctor waiting for answers."Yeah." Doctor Schwartz responded. " You seem to have a few holes in your inner molars." He told her and that made her eyes widen. She had only come here because Myles had insisted on following her to the dentist, now she just had to sit this through. And now what was doctor Schwartz talking about?"I'm sorry doctor," she said. "But I don't seem to have any problems with my teeth. I've been chewing perfectly fine. And like you said, I've been gagging on a mouth full of warm water after each meal. So there's absolutely no way I have a problem. " She said to him incredulously. She couldn't believe what he was saying to her.Dr Schwartz let out a smile. Then he nodded his head once."I understand your plight M
Rebecca dipped her finger into the water to check if the temperature was alright so she could get in. It felt warm enough since it was raining outside. She picked up the bottle of lavender bath oil and poured a reasonable amount into the bath. She still had the dental gauzes in her mouth and she felt incredibly uncomfortable. Soon Rebecca was ready to have her bath. The soft melodic sound of her old school blues was playing softly out of the speaker of her iPhone and she gently settled into the water, letting out a moan at the way the water welcomed her body. She remained in her relaxed position inside the water, listening to the music while allowing the warm lavender water to touch every nerve of her body. She let out a satisfied sigh. This was by far the best day of her life. She could see. It wasn't exactly perfect since she didn't have a glass of wine with her due to the dental gauzes she had in her mouth but this would do. Rebecca gently shut her eyes while she hummed to the so
"Yeah," the old drunk dude said while Ashton watched him. "Beauty gets into their heads and they ask for divorce. You could have gone for someone else, someone less, prettier." He said to Ashton and he wasn't even slurring. Ashton couldn't tell whether or not he was drunk or if he could still maintain soberness with that bottle of .....was that vodka in his hands? Ashton had thought that it was beer, but upon closer look he could see that this old man probably was having a great night keeping himself warmed up."Want a sip?" He asked Ashton. He had noticed that Ashton was staring at the bottle in his hand. Ashton shook his head no and the man let out a shrug. "Oh well, more for me then." He said and Ashton looked away."You should get married again." The man opined and Ashton rolled his eyes. Okay who gave this guy the right to advise someone else? "I mean, I can see that you're not over this girl." He said to him and Ashton sighed. Too bad he was going to have t
"Today, Mom came over again. She’s been visiting a lot since the divorce, and I know it’s because she worries about me. I appreciate it, but it’s also a reminder of everything I’m trying to move past. She doesn’t realize how much her concern sometimes makes me feel even more broken.I told her I need space, and I hope she understands. It’s hard to explain to someone how much you need to be alone to heal when all they want to do is help. But I have to do this my way.Writing helps. It’s like I can pour all my thoughts and feelings onto the page and see them clearly for the first time. It’s messy and painful, but it’s also freeing. Maybe that’s what healing is supposed to feel like—messy, painful, and freeing.I think about Ashton sometimes. I wonder how he’s coping. I saw him the other day, and it looked like he’s struggling too. Maybe we’re both just trying to find our way in the
Rebecca briskly walked to her office, she was greeted by her assistant, Stephan. She let out a curt nod as she passed him and headed for her office. "Brief me on the latest developments." She instructed Stephan as she walked and he hurried to match her pace. "Okay, MacBridge constructions are set to partner with the Chinese Winchang Bank on a project and they are soliciting for more sponsors, " he said, breathing hard as he doubled with trying to keep up with her pace and reading out of an iPad in his hands. "Apparently this is promising to be the biggest project for the MacBridge construction company and they have promised to not let this flop.." he said and stopped momentarily to get her feedback on what he had just told her.Rebecca thought about it for a moment. She had only been away from work for a couple of days and was back now to see that a lot was now in her hands to handle. She let out a sigh as she made up her mind on the next line of action to take concerning what Steph
The waiter walked away from them after he had taken both their orders. Rebecca smiled at Elizabeth Cooper who was taking a sip from her glass of water. She noticed that Elizabeth didn't drink pure water. She was sipping from a glass of sparkling water. Rebecca on her part had a glass of champagne in front of her. She had opted for that when Elizabeth had requested for her water."Seems like you like your water sophisticated. " Rebecca let out a smile so that Elizabeth could see that she was joking around. Elizabeth smiled at that. She picked up the napkin on her lap and dabbed on the sides of her lips with it while she smiled. Rebecca watched her place the napkin back onto her lap and she looked up to her."Well, " Elizabeth said with that soft voice of hers. Rebecca could almost think that she was fragile. "It's really not like that. I kind of had a medical condition and so I have decided to stay away from.... you know....so much wine, so instead I opt for
