Chapter 202: Carters Down

Micheal knew he was done for as soon as he heard Jack’s voice. Jack sounded ruthless, angry and primal on the phone. Micheal’s heart pounded with fear and trepidation.

He tried to free himself from the chair but he couldn’t, he tried to speak again but he could not hear himself. Was this going to be his end? His great plan of taking revenge on Jack was going to end here?

The door opened after a few minutes and none other than Jack Bolton stepped in, in all his glory. Jack looked like a man on a mission, with his face sturdy and his eyes sharp but the pain was evident in them and so was his anger.

“Why?” Jack’s singular question to Micheal carried a lot of weight and conveyed his emotions.

“If you’re going to kill me, then kill me Jack, there’s no need asking me such an irrelevant question,” Micheal replied and he could finally hear himself.
