Lewis soon recovered from his shock. How did Trent manage to pull this off? Perhaps he has underestimated him for so long. At that moment, he thought Trent was truly resourceful.

“What do you intend to do to him? He has an army of elite assassins as his personal guards. Like I said, he is invisible.”

“What happened to your feet?” Laurel Smith, the first man who has spoken asked, noticing Lewis’ limp and walking cane.

Lewis glared at Trent. “This clown smashed my ankle with a hammer as a kid.”

“Hmmmm,” Laurel replied. “When I say we are powerful, believe me, I do not just mean physical. Come sit.”

He urged Lewis who reluctantly agreed and sat on a couch beside him.

Laurel brought out an amulet from his pocket and wrapped it around his arm before he suddenly and firmly grabbed Lewis’s bad ankle with it and he chanted a few words.

Lewis screamed out in torture as an agonizing pain shot through his ankle at that instant, but the next second it was gone.
