CHAPTER 72

Rylan stared at his phone ringing beside him as he lay on his bed. He knew it was Dayton calling to report on Lana’s movement. Presently, nothing moved him. He was numb and lost. Rylan never knew he would feel this way ever again. The last time this had happened to him was when he got kicked out of his marital home. For the first few days, he was lost and couldn’t leave his bed. Tristan had tried to lift his spirit but nothing worked. All the liquor they drank on those nights at the bar didn’t make him feel better, so why did he think that drowning himself in whiskey was the solution?
