CHAPTER 84

Lana Pierce opened her eyes slowly as she came back to consciousness. She ran her hands on the surface which she laid on and realized that it was soft. It was a bed. Lana was relieved to know that this was reality. The last thing she remembered was slipping in and out of consciousness an uncomfortable number of times. As she tried to recall what happened, her head ached in pain.

“Ouch!” She gasped softly.

A figure moved beside her. She turned her head and met Rylan who was looking at her with a crooked smile on his face. His amber eyes were out of color and his face was pale. His dark brown hair was ruffled and fell across his face. She was confused. How did she end up here? The last thing she found was drowning when she saw a figure in the darkness reach towards her.
