The Confidant

Early morning of the following day, Joy pressed the bell at Albert's door. She couldn't sleep throughout the night as she was thinking of the decision to take. It wasn't her visiting day at the old folks'home, so she couldn't go to Ms Jane to seek for advice. She couldn't share anything with Lilly either, because it involved their father.

Albert was the only new friend she made that she could confide in. Initially, she hated him because of the dark aura that followed him, but she later liked him because of Lucas. Albert had pestered her for friendship, she only gave him a chance because Lucas intervened. He pleaded that she should give him a chance to proof his worth to her, so she agreed.

She stood outside for a while, when she didn't hear any movement from inside, she pressed the bell again and didn't stop until the door opened suddenly with a furious look on Albert's face.

Panting heavily, “ Who the hell is disturbing my beautiful sleep at this time of the day? Don't you…” the word
