CHAPTER 27: FEVER

I decided to stay for a few more minutes in front of the fireplace so that I could make sure that her body temperature really returned to normal and when I checked her again and her body was already at the right temperature, I slowly stood up and walked towards where my bed was.

I carefully put her down on my bed like she was a piece of glassware and only then did I realize that I had not changed my clothes yet.

My clothes are now dry because of the heat coming from the fireplace earlier but the socks that I am wearing feel wet that is why I decided to take a shower first so that I can already change my clothes.

Before I went to my bathroom, I put a blanket over her first to make sure that she would no longer feel cold anymore.

I also arranged her hair and spread it on the pillow that she was lying on so that it could finally dry completely while I was sitting on the bed by her side.
