Chapter 6 You are selfish

 

"  Young master, the next room is filled with your clothes, shoes and accessories. Please feel free and call the servant, they now belong to you. You can do whatever you want with them.” 

The butler took Alaric around the house and left.

After the butler left Alaric went to his closet and opened the closet. It was filled with expensive clothes, shoes, bracelet and watches.

This was the first time he had seen all these expensive things and it’s all belongs to him. 

“Alaric this is a dream, woke up. He slapped his cheeks and felt pain.

Oh no this isn’t a dream, it reality, he pinched his hands.

Wow I am rich, starting from today, this is how I’m going to walk. He lifted his chest and raise his head high, he put his hands in his pockets and furrowed his brow. 

He was like a billionaire 

He sat down and crossed his legs. This is how am going to walk and sit down, he said to himself.

He went to the washroom and gasped at what he saw, this bathroom is bigger than the Hans family washroom. It bigger than my parents own. 

This is bigger than the store room I was sleeping."

The butler went to report to the old master.

“Old master good news ,”

“Did he agree”

“Yes old master ,the young master has agreed . But..”

“But what?”

“ His looks are a little scary , it seems he is really hurt."

“Why won’t he . If you were the one who went through what he has been through you would  feel more than what he is going through now, well I knew he would agree, if he  realize the reality of life. Okay that’s enough let me go  and meet my grandson."

Walking to the study to meet his paternal grandfather ,Alaric was surprised  to see his fathers pictures hanging in the hallway.

Reaching the study room,  Alaric  sized  the man  up and down on the chair.

“This old man is really strong and fit, he must have been every woman’s dream in his youthful years.” He thought to himself. 

The old man also sized him up and said to him,

“you took after your father, but you are more handsome and have good qualities than him. Looking at  how you took the Hans family to the next step, you are really my grandson. Have a seat.”

“You said you are my grandfather. Why didn’t you look for us all this while. Seeing how rich you are, it was just a piece of cake. And why didn’t my parents tell me they are from wealthy family.”

Old master Brian took  a deep breath and started narrating what happened back then.

Old master : “There is a long standing feud between your paternal and maternal families.

The two families have been enemies for decade. What caused the feud will be your duty to investigate. Your parents fell in love with each other but because of the enmity we have towards the Harry’s family , we opposed their marriage. 

Your father was head over heels with your mother, we couldn’t stopped them. I decided to kill your mother , whilst your maternal grandfather also decided to kill your father.

They were facing series of crises and so they fled away after surviving from a terrible accident. We didn’t hear from them, they erased everything about them and so both families stop searching after ten years. This what happened”.

Alaric clenched his fist and said to his grandfather, “because of your selfishness you almost assassinated my parents. If they haven’t been together, would I have been here. What if they  have they lost their life, Who would have been your heir. 

Sometime you shouldn’t let your hatred destroys someone life , you wouldn’t know when you will need their help. Grandpa you should treat every part of your towel well , the part you will use to wipe your ass today, you might use that same part to wipe your face tomorrow. Nobody knows tomorrow, you shouldn’t have involved my parents in your selfishness.”

“Well am sorry grandson, I realized my mistake after I lost your father but your maternal family still resent us.

“ The Brian family is a big and great family. It controls the business world. They have power over all business and could not be shaken easily. We have power over the southern and northern  part of America and I hope you would expand the power to the western and eastern part. “

In the Hans family. The old lady was in a meeting with his secretary and other members. The family business is declining since Alaric left. That bastard I didn’t know he was useful, I would have find a way to tie him to this family.

The Mills family has decided not to extend us their hands. Secretary is there a solution?”

“Old madam there is way. We need a strong company to invest in the real estate. I have looked through and the Brian’s family is the most suitable but the CEO is too heartless and ruthless. It will be a  bit difficult to convince him.”

“Ok don’t worry I will meet him tomorrow.

The old lady went to the Brian family the following morning. She met his personal assistant on her way to the office.

“Hello  I would like to meet the CEO' ” Please do you have an appointment?”

“No I don’t”

“Please wait for a while, let me ask him if he would agree to meet you since you don’t have an appointment.”

“Sir the old madam of the Hans family wants to see you.

“Ha the witch want to see me? Let her wait for a while.” 

“Ok sir “

“Old madam our CEO said you should wait. “

" Is he in a meeting?"

 

"No he isn't"

"Am wondering what will be the old witch reaction if she found out her live in son-in-law is now the CEO. The game is becoming interesting," the personal assistant said with a wicked smile.
