GERALD IS MISSING
Stephanie sat on the edge of the bed, her hands clasped together tightly in her lap. Her husband, Jakes, stood in front of her, his arms crossed over his chest, his expression dark.

"Steph, what the hell are you saying? You can't be serious," he demanded, his voice rising with each word.

"I'm damn serious, Jakes. It's my Dad." Stephanie said quietly, her eyes fixed on the floor. "He took Gerald."

Jakes let out a roar of anger and started pacing back and forth across the room. "Your dad? Your father kidnapped our child? How could he do something like that?"

Stephanie looked up at him, her eyes pleading. "I don't know, Jakes. I don't. But I think he's sick mentally. He's been acting strange lately."

Jakes shook his head in disbelief. "That's no excuse, Steph. He can't just take our child and disappear like that. We have to report him to the police right away."
