HE DOESN'T BELIEVE ME

Michael sat alone in his office, staring blankly at his computer screen. He had been planning to visit Mark, but now he was having second thoughts.

He knew that seeing Mark would make him feel more guilty about the situation. He had been the one who had put Mark in danger.

As he pondered his options, he thought about Kathryn. He had always loved her, but she had chosen Mark over him. He knew that he had to be careful,

He picked up his phone and dialled Liam's number. "Liam, I've changed my mind. I'm not going to see Mark."

Liam was surprised. "Boss, are you sure?"

"I know, Liam, but I can't do it. I've put him in enough danger as it is, and going to see him will make me feel more guilty."

There was a long pause on the other end of the line, and then Liam spoke, "Alright, boss. But what should we do about Mark?"

"I don't know yet. I need some time to think. In the meantime, keep an eye on him. Make sure he's safe."

"Got it, boss. I'll let the boys know."
