WE PREFER MICHAEL TO MARK

Kathryn had invited Mark to have dinner with her parents, Mr and Mrs Henderson. It was their first meeting since Mark's accident, and he was eager to make a good impression.

As they sat down to eat, Mr Henderson asked Mark about his work, trying to make small talk.

"So Mark, what do you do for a living?"

"I'm a legal practitioner and I own a firm in this city," Mark replied, "but since the attack on my leg, I've been focusing more on my recovery."

"I see," Mr Henderson said, nodding. "And how is that going?"

"It's been a challenge, but I'm making progress," Mark replied with a smile.

Kathryn noticed that her parents were being polite, but she could sense their discomfort. She knew they were hesitant about her relationship with Mark because of his disability.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Mrs Henderson spoke up. "Kathryn tells us that you two have been seeing each other for a while now," she said to Mark.

"Yes, we have," Mark replied.

"And how did you two meet?" Mrs Henderson
