John left the lounge and scurried into another room. Less than a minute later, he was back with two rifles and then locked the door behind him.

He tossed one to Mr. Parker and kept one for himself.

“We are going to fight,” John said and cocked the gun. Mr. Parker didn’t want a debate. He had been skeptical all along about giving up his life thing and this seemed like a better idea.
