Ruby is overcome with great fear because she didn't think that these ladies would actually accuse her of stealing the ring.

She has no idea that the evil ladies have come up with a plan. They think that Ruby is a dummy, they think she is going to become very afraid and run away so that they can sell it for a hefty price.

One of them goes and locks up the place. Wanting to intimidate her even more.

Ruby is scared, but she manages to keep her emotions still. She knows that she is not a thief, but these ladies are very scary.

“Is this what you have been doing as a business? You walk into stores and steal from them? You have come to the wrong place.” One of them pokes her shoulder.

Ruby inhales deeply.

“We are going to call the police on you.” The other one huffs. “Guess what? You will go to jail for being such a sneaky thief.”

“I'm not a thief.” Ruby inhales. “This is my ring and I'm not leaving without it.”
