Dallas rose, too, but Rosalie motioned him to sit back.

“Don’t worry yourself about greeting her. Eat your food first,” Rosalie said.

“I just want to greet her and come back,” Dallas said.

“No. She would abuse you. She won’t even want to see you. So why would you care about her, anyway?”

Dallas sat, eating. Rosalie went to the kitchen to meet Chloe.

“You laughed at my father?” Rosalie asked her

Chloe’s eyes almost popped out of her head. “Oh!”

‘How did Rosalie fucking knows?’ Chloe thought to herself and laughed out again.

Rosalie smiled. “It shock you? Anyway, I’m grateful you don’t laugh in the presence of my father. My parents were too funny. This is what I had to cope with every day before I travelled to Miami City. In between, what are you cooking?”

“Rice,” Chloe said.

“Can you cook more? Mrs. Jones came with Aunty Xenia and Uncle Mason.”
