As soon as Aiden defeated the Silver General and received the system rewards, he immediately began to ascend the stairs of the Beast Ruins. Beast Ruins were peculiar pocket dimensions in the sense that unlike the regular world that was a boundless landscape, Beast Ruins were shaped into various levels. The lowest levels was often occupied by weaker Feind beasts while the higher levels were the home turf of the more powerful ones. As for the highest level, it was the home turf of the Ruins Boss. Normally a Beast Ruins consisted of just a single Boss. However in some rare cases they had been discoveries of two or more Bosses. During a Ruins Rift, Feind Beasts could only invade the regular world by passing through the Ruins gate at the lowest level. However their passage was in a chronological pattern from the weakest to strongest. This was why normally during a Ruins Rift, the weaker Feinds were the first to begin the invasion while the strongest ones were always the last to emerge.
"Aren't we there yet?" a Sentry grumbled as he stood at the edge of the Runic sailing boat while looking ahead at the thick mist that made it difficult for him to even see his fingers."This mist is blocking my cognizance from scouting ahead. I can only scout twenty meters ahead, however I am yet to discover a shore" Zach replied with a frown as he continued mentally controlling the runic ship.Cognizance was an ability exclusive to Runelocks just like the way the movement skill Flash was exclusive to Warlocks. It allowed them the ability to partially project their consciousness forward. This meant a powerful Runelock could be in city A and still be able to accurately witness what was happening in City B.However the distance that a Runelock's cognizance could cover varied. Zach was no one pushover as he was a Runelock whose cognizance could cover a range of a thousand meters. However upon arriving within the strange mist, the range his cognizance could cover shrinked all the way to j
Shriieeek!!! an almost limitless number of purple colored tentacles swayed around as a huge head shot out from the depth of the poisonous waters, roaring into the sky. The force of its roar caused a large turbulence in the water, causing the nearby Runic ship to sway about unsteadily while the thick mist in the air slowly parted away. Thanks to the disappearance of the obstruction, the appearance of the pissed off beast finally got revealed. It was a mountain like Cuttlefish cephalopod. It was about 1400 feet in total length and about hundred blood shot eyes littered about on its head. The strange beast was covered in purple colored scales and a Large unicorn like horn stuck out from the middle of its large head. However unlike harmless unicorns, its horn were about the size of a battle ship cannon and was filled with strange patterns. Its multiple tentacles flayed about like only by doing so could it express its rage.. "Stupid beast. You could no longer remain hidden after that
"Hmpfh. Not many people know of this. In the past I was once a member of the Star Impact Guild. During a trip in a Beast Ruins, I witnessed Xavier face off against the Boss of a level three Beast Ruins that was on the verge of transforming into a level four Beast Ruins. However guess what happened when they were about to fight?" Zach voice became excited as he licked his lower lips.. "He did something that I would never forget in my entire life. He merely pointed at the Boss level Feind and said a single word.. explode. And the head of the boss level Feind exploded!" "So tell me, how can such a terrifying existence possibly lose to August?" Zach smirked confidently. "But how is that even possible?" although the Sentries were not present, they felt scared just imagining the scene of Xavier commanding the Boss of a level three Beast Ruins to explode their head. One had to know that such an existence was comparable to a peak Delta Warrior Magi. Not to mention unlike Magis, Feind Bea
Silence. After the death of the baby Thousand Eyed Devil Kraken, the whole atmosphere descended into a stiffling silence. Hovering in the air, August took in a deep breath as the red shade in his eyes slowly vanished. "This sword is scary!" he gave the longsword a look of trepidation as he swiftly sent it back to his storage ring. Just now he had been temporarily possessed by the artifact spirit. If his willpower was any weaker and he had held on to the longsword for much longer, his consciousness would've been completely overwritten by the artifact spirit. "Although using this sword is powerful, I should watch how I use it untill I have completely won the recognition of the artifact spirit" he gave himself a mental warning as the golden boots he wore flickered brilliantly, bringing him back to the runic ship. "That dirty beast must've been the obstacle we had to face in this mist region. If my guess is right, we are drawing near the shore" he informed Zach, ignoring the frighte
"That was intense! what's up with this new weapon of yours?" Gregory laughed gleefully as he walked towards Aiden's direction, his eyes fixated on Lucificul whose body seemed to have lost its earlier glow.Gregory's current appearance was very scary, with blood covering almost every part of his body. The battle with the Silver Rangers was very intense, as such it was only right that he didn't pay attention to the showers of blood that came with the death of a Silver Ranger."Yeah. That Kusarigama seems to be sucking the life force of the Feind beasts it pierces. Where did you get it from?" Marie asked curiously as she dropped down from the sky while the rest of the group gave Aiden curious looks. His performance was so open that it had caught their attention. After all unlike them, Aiden seemed to have had it easier. He only had to swing his Kusarigama around and whichever Silver Ranger pierced by it instantly dried up. It was like the tough body armor they wore offered no resistance
Tap. Tap. Tap. "How come the stairs of the third layer doesn't seem to end?" Marie couldn't help commenting as she lead the newly formed Blood Dragon Legion through a flight of winding stairs. "Are we trapped in a spatial loop or something?" Aiden turned towards Red Rose since she was the one with the spatial mojo. The group had been ascending the stairs for quite some time, yet they couldn't see the end. It was like the stairs was limitless. "I doubt it. I cannot sense the slightest spatial fluctuation " Red Rose shook her head in denial. Boom! Oge suddenly jumped back as a large stinger struck the position where she was previously standing, creating a large Hall. If Oge had been a single second too late, her body would've been pierced through. "What's that?" the rest of the group went high on alert as they finally noticed the culprit of the sneak attack. It was a large scorpion like beast. However unlike other scorpions, this one possessed six near transparent wings and t
"I-Is this a City? A Feind beast city?!" Rin stared at the large blood red gate with a confused expression.According to rumors, weren't Feind beasts supposed to be mindless creatures who only knew how to slaughter. At first the fact that some of them were weilding armor came as a surprise to them. But a city?!"No. This is a Garrison!" Red Rose expression became serious as she suddenly cried."Take cover!"Luckily there was a nearby boulder, giving the group a perfect place to hide. A few seconds later, three Winged Panda Men emerged from within the blood colored gate, arriving at the entrance of the third layer. These Winged Panda Men were shockingly Azure Rangers However they were not riding a mount like the first one."I thought I heard the sound of battle?" the one at the middle asked his comrades in a language that the group didn't understand. However for some unknown reason, a new window popped open on the system panel screen, translating their words to Aiden."I don't see anyt
