Victor kept his gaze fixed on Marissa, his mind racing with possibilities. He didn’t trust her, not for a second, but if she truly knew who the Phantom was, this could be the break he needed. Beside him, Emma’s tension was clear, her instincts screaming that Marissa was up to no good.

“All right, Marissa,” Victor said, his tone icy. “You have our attention. Start talking.”

Marissa’s smile widened, a flash of triumph in her eyes. “Smart choice, Victor. The Phantom is closer than you think, someone who’s been playing both sides, manipulating everyone in the shadows. They’re cunning, but they’ve made a mistake. I have proof.”

Emma crossed her arms, her skepticism clear. “If you have proof, then why haven’t you acted on it yourself? What are you after?”
