Vampire demon

"You never went out before?"

Zhang Xiang shook his head innocently.

"Don't you know that the outside world is very dangerous? Aren't you afraid of death?"

Zhang Xiang was silent. He was just a fourteen-year-old teenager who was afraid of death. In fact, Zhang Xiang himself was scared at the time of an attack, having been hidden away by his three uncles for the past fourteen years, and it was only in the past few years after he reached adulthood that he often saw people fighting. Previously, Zhang Xiang was afraid of blood, but from now on, he will try to familiarize himself with it so that he will not be afraid of it anymore.

"To be a warrior, you must not be afraid of death!"

"Huh, who's afraid? I'm not afraid of death at all!"

Sring....

"Zhang Xiang, watch out!"

"Akhh!!!"

A sword flew through the air; who knows where it came from? Fortunately, Jin Long nimbly pulled Zhang Xiang's wrist, so the sword missed and stuck in a big tree. Jin Long was still staring at the sword, casting his eyes around to see who it belonged to. A few seconds later, a fan flew into the air past Jin Long's neck. Jin Long swiftly pulled Zhang Xiang behind him in case there was another impromptu attack. Until a few seconds later, a young man in a purple robe came over while waving the kipads that were already in his hand.

The darkness made it impossible to see the man's face clearly, but judging from his current appearance, he was not just any young man. Even judging by the way he plays the fan, it's not just any fan. It turned out that the young man was not alone; a few seconds later, two bodyguard soldiers in strange clothes stood beside the purple-robed young man.

Zhang Xiang, who was standing behind Jin Long, took a peek at the young man out of curiosity.

"Uncle, who are they?"

Jin Long didn't answer Zhang Xiang's question; he focused on staring at the young man who was originally standing across from him and now came closer, standing in front of him. Without any preparation, the purple-robed youth attacked Jin Long, and Jin Long happily engaged him, and the battle lasted for several minutes. Jin Long hasn't brought out his signature white sword yet, only using some of the moves he's learned before, until all the moves he's mastered are almost used up, and then he's about to bring out his sword, only for the purple-robed youth to stop the action. He stood right in front of Jin Long and touched his shoulder, but Jin Long immediately brushed him off.

"Who are you?" asked Jin Long as he stood guard.

"I should ask, who are you? How dare you come to the ghost forest? Are you tired of living?"

Jin Long frowned. He had vaguely heard the term ghost valley cave. Does it have anything to do with the ghost forest? Then Jin Long looked at the two young men following him—two young men dressed in all-black robes with white masks and dalip marks on the front of their chests. Like a ghost, it made Jin Long believe that the two of them were trapped in a ghost forest. And the young man in front of him was the Fu Jiu Yun he had heard about before.

"Fu Jiu Yun!"

"Hahahah!!! Jin Long, you seem to recognize me," said the purple-robed young man called Fu Jiu Yun, walking toward Jin Long. But Jin Long and Zhang Xiang quickly stepped back to keep watch.

"Don't you dare touch me!"

"Tsk! Apparently you're arrogant."

"But your martial arts knowledge is good too; judging from the moves you used, I seem to recognize them," said the young man named Fu Jiu Yun.

Jin Long let out a smirk. "Don't be a smartass."

"Beggar, life-defeating cavalier!" muttered Fu Jiu Yun.

Hearing that, Jin Long was instantly dumbfounded. He glanced at Zhang Xiang, who was listening to their conversation. Since Jin Long didn't want the innocent boy to hear more unimportant discussions, Jin Long diverted the conversation by asking Fu Jiu.

"What do you want from me?"

Fu Jiu smiled sarcastically at Jin Long as he shook the fan in his hand.

"I want to fight with you! I've been waiting for this for a long time!"

Jin Long felt challenged by Fu Jiu's words. "Who's afraid?"

Fu Jiu smiles devilishly as he prepares the moves he'll use to test Jin Long to see if his assumptions about Jin Long are right or wrong. According to his knowledge, the moves that Jin Long has used are the moves of the beggar sect that he once knew, but Jin Long still does not admit that he is part of the sect. With that, Fu Jiu felt even more curious about the young man in front of him. To strengthen his guess, Fu Jiu chose to test him by fighting. In addition to the moves he will use as the bright spot of his curiosity, the swordplay that is the mainstay of the sect has not been shown by Jin Long.

The two of them prepared to both receive and attack each other. Seeing that the vampire demon was still in place, Jin Long was impatient, so he chose to attack first. Apparently the demon was already on guard; indeed, he deliberately waited for the enemy to attack first. Fu Jiu's cunning way was realized by Jin Long; he was increasingly challenged by Fu Jiu's actions, increasingly provoking emotions. Jin Long felt that he was being played by Fu Jiu's fighting moves, which continued to serve him casually without wanting to release his moves, even though Jin Long himself really wanted to see how great Fu Jiu was.

As the night wore on, the air grew colder. The wind blew softly, accompanying every blow they made. The dripping sweat didn't seem to bother them; they were equally strong to test their skills in martial arts. Step by step they took, leaving marks on the ground from the movement of their feet.

Fu Jiu was disappointed that Jin Long didn't pull out another move, so his gaze fell on a young man who was standing by watching the two of them fight. Who else could it be but Zhang Xiang, who had been standing still while staring at his uncle, who was spitting out moves that he didn't recognize? Even Zhang Xiang himself was dizzy from every move made by Jing Long.

While Zhang Xiang was focused on watching the two of them, Fu Jiu attacked Zhang Xiang with lightning-fast movements. Fortunately, Zhang Xiang was aware of the attack, as he had been watching their every move carefully. So Zhang Xiang swiftly dodged the attack from the demon.

Jin Long was originally going to help Zhang Xiang, but seeing the way Zhang Xiang avoided the attack made him a little interested. It looked agile, and the steps Zhang Xiang took were not ordinary steps. From here, Jin Long was convinced that there was actually a hidden strength in Zhang Xiang that had never been honed.

'Which bloodline is this kid from? It doesn't look like an ordinary child,' Jin Long thought as he observed.

Until a few seconds later...

Sregg...

Bugh...

"Akkhhh...!!!"

"Zhang Xiang!!!"

"Are you okay?" asked Jin Long worriedly.

Zhang Liang held his chest as he nodded. "I'm fine, uncle."

"Good! It turns out that this little kid has skills too; I thought he was just a weak little kid."

Jin Long didn't care about Fu Jiu's words; he chose to pick Zhang Xiang up and then carry him away from that place immediately. Meanwhile, Fu Jiu was staring at their sudden departure.

"Hey!!! The fight isn't over yet! I haven't seen your swordplay yet," Fu Jiu shouted.

"Jin Long! Admit that you're the king of life!" Fu Jiu shouted at the top of his lungs. But Jin Ling didn't hear the shout at all.
