Teacher's uncle

As the night wore on, it got quieter and quieter. Only the sound of crickets and the splashing of lake water accompanied the night. Jin Long took Zhang Xiang out of the ghost forest and brought him to a place on the shore of a vast lake with rocks around it.

Jin Long asked Zhang Xiang to seat himself on a large rock not far from the lake as he prepared a bonfire to warm their bodies later. As a nomad, Jin Long was used to the nomadic life, but this was his first time traveling with other people, whose backgrounds he knew nothing about. And to make matters worse, the teenage boy he brought along this time—what a misfortune! Instantly, he forgot about his goal of enjoying the outside world without a burden, but now he has a new burden.

As soon as the fire was lit, Jin Long asked Zhang Xiang to sit closer to the fire so as not to get cold. But seeing Zhang Xiang, who was pale while holding his stomach, made Jin Long immediately wrinkle his forehead. He thought that Zhang Xiang was currently enduring pain in his abdomen, but he did not dare to show his pain for fear of being called weak.

Seeing this, Jin Long chuckled softly. "Tsk! There's no need to hide the pain!" He said this as he seated himself beside Zhang Xiang.

"Try pulling your hands together," he said as he looked at Zhang Xiang, who was currently staring at him.

Without further ado, Zhang Xiang thrust his two hands towards Jin Long. He looked at the small hands that had no muscles at all, then Jin Long asked Zhang Xiang to sit cross-legged by stretching his body while opening his palms facing upwards. Zhang Xiang could only obey what Jin Long told him. Slowly but surely, Jin Long asked Zhang Xiang to manage deep breathing.

After that, Jin Long channeled an internal force from his body into Zhang Xiang's body for a few minutes. Jin Long also helped Zhang Xiang treat the wounds on his body. Jin Long himself was used to this kind of wound, so he saw that the wound on Zhang Xiang's body was not a serious problem. After the treatment, Jin Long reached for a round drinking bottle with a head hole on it. The bottle contained the wine that he used to carry everywhere he went.

Jin Long gulped down half of the wine, then turned his gaze toward Zhang Xiang, who was looking down while playing with fire. The image of Zhang Xiang's dodging moves still lingers in Jin Long's memory; he sees something different about Zhang Xiang's body. Actually,  Zhang Xiang is a strong young man and has special advantages, but Jin Long himself has not discovered what those advantages are, only seeing the ability to receive martial arts that can develop in Zhang Xiang.

"Zhang Xiang!"

"Hem, yes, uncle?"

"Are you sure you want to learn martial arts?" asked Jin Long suddenly.

Zhang Xiang gets excited when he hears a word related to martial arts, probably because he is obsessed with martial arts.

"Sure uncle! Can I call you teacher uncle already?"

"Even my martial arts knowledge is still a mess, not worthy of being called master or teacher uncle," Jin Long said as he took a sip of wine.

"Come on, uncle! Do me a favor; purple uncle said I'm not weak; isn't the potential for martial arts very easy?"

Jin Long frowned as he stopped drinking. "Who is the purple uncle?"

"The one who attacked me earlier? The one in the purple robe."

"The evil demon Vampire leader,"

Zhang Xiang nodded in understanding. Then he again persuaded Jin Long to help him. Instead of using words, he used actions to persuade him. Zhang Xiang pulled Jin Long's arm and shook it while pleading.

"Come on, uncle!"

His ambition was so great to achieve a wish, while his own emotions were also still very difficult to control. But for some reason, since the battle with the demon, Jin Long wanted to guide Zhang Xiang until he could, even though the learning potential might be a bit slow since he did not understand the basics of martial arts at all.

"Do you really want to learn with me? You don't necessarily have the same discipline as me; are you willing?"

Zhang Xiang thought for a moment, knowing all the risks of being in a different discipline. But given that his goal was to find a teacher and that he had already vowed that he would accept knowledge from anyone and from any discipline, Zhang Xiang nodded confidently.

"I'm ready! I will take all the risks," he said confidently.

"Good! A true, responsible young man!"

"So when can I train with you? Will you teach me now?"

Jin Long chuckled softly. "Tsk! Think about your injuries; don't be rash. There is still plenty of time to practice; after all, starting something is not as easy as you think. It takes a basic technique up to special training."

Zhang Xiang snorted in disappointment at the explanation given by his uncle. He was already eager to practice and receive the material right now. Although the pain in his body needed special care, the pain he suffered was no longer felt because of Jin Long's agreement to teach him martial arts.

"Heal your wounds first; now get some sleep; tomorrow I'll teach you basic martial arts techniques," Jin Long said as he got up from his seat.

"Where are you going?"

Jin Long did not answer Zhang Xiang's question at all. Then he saw his uncle sitting on a big rock a little far away from him and away from the fire, placing his legs in front of him and placing his hands on his thighs in an open upward position. Zhang Xiang immediately understood what his uncle was about to do and was silent. It turned out that the uncle was about to meditate, and for some reason Zhang Xiang himself did not know that it was better for him to close his eyes in accordance with the uncle's request.

The coldness was getting the better of his body; even the heat of the fire in front of him had no effect on him at all. Zhang Xiang rubbed his palms together, hoping to get some warmth, but the result was the same: the night wind was too strong to penetrate his body, which had never come out before. But the reason he was not strong against the cold was because Zhang Xiang had never managed his internal energy well, thus he had a weak physique.

"Tsk! The swordsman is not strong against cold!" The uncle said as he threw his cloak vest at Zhang Xiang.
