Chapter 156

Richardson had breakfast with his grandfather while they both prepared for work.

They had on their suits while they ate in the dining room with the television playing the news on mute while opera music played in the background.

It was the kind of life people would see on television and pray to have. It was a wonderful life to live, Richardson thought to himself as he picked up a lobster to feast on.

Mary wasn’t joining them as she was still in bed. She had nothing to do but sleep and eat. She only needed to focus on her health and getting her memories back so Tom was helping her do that.

It wasn’t going as planned but it was a plan nonetheless.

“How has work been?” Damien asked, trying to start up a conversation as he distracted Richardson from his thoughts.
