Chapter 160

Jennie looked at the crowd as they walked around the mall. She had entered the mall to get something for her mother who was paying for it by the way with her own money.

She had been called out by the woman even when the young lady had not been in the mood to leave. It had been a forceful outing but she had no choice but to do what her mother was asking her to do.

“So, I take it that as you’re silent it didn’t go as planned,” the woman said while they settled into a bench by an artificial garden.

Jennie had her mouth taped shut. She didn’t want to say anything to her mother who she knew was already disappointed in her.

“Come on,” the old woman smiled. “Let me know. What happened? And tell me everything. Don’t hide anything from me. I’m your mother. I’ll find out later on. What happened?”

Jennie took in deep breaths, looking around to make sure no one was going to overhear her conversation with her mother as she explained what has happened and how it had all gone down.
