Chapter 40

"What are you doing here, little rabbit?" I took that rabbit out of my carriage.

The rabbit obeyed and didn’t jump when I touched her. I ran into my house and put the rabbit inside. "Stay here; I will find food for you."

I moved all the logs into the carriage before I brought them to the city tomorrow morning. I didn’t forget to give my horse food and water. Oh, my friend, you must be so hungry." I felt bad because I left him alone.

Everything was prepared, and I walked back to my house. I locked my house and prepared my food and the rabbit. I opened the refrigerator to find something that didn’t rot. Surprisingly, all of the ingredients were still fresh from the last day I left them.

"How come?" I raised my eyebrows while taking two eggs, bacon, and leftover lettuce.
