Chapter 10

Rex slowly began reading the lawsuits that Chelsea filed against the government for what was referred to as negligence in his death.

There were various articles on different websites. His mind was digesting the reality that not only was his sacrifice to accept the blame for the crime in vain, but Chelsea went on to profit from his fake death, and his family did not receive a penny.

He sat on the couch worn out, without making any movement. The breakfast he had planned to prepare for his father sat in the kitchen drying up.

He felt his stomach turn and all the stomach contents came hurling up making it difficult for him to hold it in.

He got up and ran to the bathroom and vomited his guts out.

Sydney walked back into the room at the sound of the vomiting. She looked in her father's direction.

"This is as hard for him as it is for us," her father said.
