"Come on daughter, what's with that look, you don't have to give me that mean look, you could have just spoken up to say you are damn tired of my rants," he replied as he sat up, and straightened his sleeves.

"You know I can't do that right? It's not how you trained me, have you forgotten how you trained my brother and I? You trained us like African kids who don't have the right to speak when their parents are speaking.
