An incident

“I still think it's a bad idea, Vera,” Claus said in disapproval but the lady had already made up her mind.

“I'll talk to you later,” She smiled and hung up the call. She gently placed the phone on the counter and stared at the information in front of her.

She swirled her chair around and walked to her drawer where she took out an iphone.

She turned it on and went through the contacts before she clicked on a particular contact and placed the phone on her left ear.

“Hi, Marcus. This is Vera, I want you to do something for me. It's going to be a long deal and I want you to send over the best,” She said in a serious tone.

The Vera on the phone was completely different from the cheerful and childish young lady ragt hung around with Evan. Her cold demor and authoritative voice send shivers down one's spine that you have no other choice than to obey her.

“Tell me the details,” Marcus replied and Vera nodded in satisfaction.
