“Hun?” Vera gasped then hurriedly went back to pack her loots.

“I thought you weren't coming over to pick me up, so why are you here?” She pouted as she held a golden necklace and raised it in the air to have a clear view of it.

“This is real gold,” She then smirked at the naked man in the hall. “Thank you for this. You are so generous,”

The man lowered his head in shame as he didn't have the courage to look at her. He brought this upon himself and now he must endure the shame.

Evan stared at the man for a while then faced Vera. “I thought you promised that you wouldn't make any problem?”

“Ah… No,” Vera gasped then ran towards him. She clasped her hands tightly together then pouted.

“He challenged me for a bet and I won. Had it been that I lost, I would have been the one who will stay here half naked,” She poured cutely and her cat-like eyes turned teary.

“What a fake,” Claus scoffed.

He knew better than anyone that such cheap baby tricks don't work on Evan, unless he wants to preten
