Half an hour went by in a flash and soon Evan's car was packed inside his mansion. He slowly alighted from the car and stared at the building ahead of him and, without wasting time, he made his way to the front door.

“William, tell me what you mean she doesn't remember…” Evan walked past the maid who opened the door for him and went to the living room, but the instant his eyes caught sight of the woman on the coach, his voice trailed off.

“Anything,” he finished, and gazed intensely at the lady.

Ezra stared at Evan and slowly got off the coach. It was as though there was something both of them were trying to find out from each other, but no matter how much they pry further, it felt as though an invisible barrier was in the way.

“Sir you are back,” William walked out of the kitchen and placed a plate on the dining table.
