“Get the girl! We can't allow this filthy rat to get away from here!” A man's deep voice boomed among the crowd as lots of people, both men and women picked up sticks and stones at the fragile child in front of them.

The petite girl tried to run away but one of the women held her arm and yanked her to the ground, which led her to collapse on the floor and dislocate her arm's joint.

“Ahh!” A heart-wrenching scream escaped the girl's parted lip.

Due to the force of the slap, the girl's face went sideways and her forehead slammed hard on the cold rough floor.

A strong metallic taste filled her mouth as a strong stench of blood drifted into her nostrils.
